SCHEDULE – A
(See Clause 10.1)
1. The Site
1.1 Site of the Six-Lane project Highway shall include the existing land, buildings,
structures and road works as described in Annex-I of this Schedule-A.
1.2 An inventory of the Site including the land, buildings, structures, road works,
trees and any other immovable property on, or attached to, the Site shall be prepared
jointly by the Authority Representative and the Concessionaire and such inventory
shall form part of the memorandum referred to in Clause 10.3.1 of the Agreement.
1.3 Additional land required for [Toll Plazas, Traffic Aid Posts, Medical Aid Posts and
vehicle rescue posts or for] construction of works specified in the Scope Order
issued under Clause 16.2.3 of this Agreement shall be acquired in accordance
with the provisions of Clause 10.3.6 of this Agreement. Upon acquisition, such land
shall form part of the Site and vest in the Authority.

1. Site
The site for Six-Laning shall extend from km 340.000 to km 403.400 of
National Highway no 4 in the state of Karnataka (an index map is at Appendix A-I)
and shall, within the right of way, comprise the land, building, structures and road
works described herein. The left hand side (LHS) corresponds to the direction
moving from Haveri to Hubli and the right hand side (RHS) for Hubli to Haveri side.
The Haveri – Hubli section between km 340.000 to km 403.400 is 63.4 km
long. It has been recently upgraded to 4/6 lanes as part of Golden Quadrilateral.
The total length of the Project Highway is 63.400
km.

Road Works
(a) Details of existing Service Roads are given in Appendix A-IV (a)
(b) The carriageway width for the reach is generally 7.0 m with 1.5 m wide paved
shoulder and 2.0 m wide earthen shoulder for either side traffic. The width of
median is generally 5.0 m (4.5 m raised and 2x0.25 m kerb shyness) and 2.0 m (1.5
m raised and 2x0.25 m Kerb shyness) at grade separated structures.
Wider carriageway has been provided at the location of Toll Plaza and other
structures. The section has some 3 lane stretches, as given in Appendix A-IV (b)

Appendix A-IV (e)
The total number of bus bays and truck lay byes on the Project Highway is
noted below:
Environmental Clearances
As per above said MOEF EIA Notification the Environmental Clearance is not required for
this project due to the existing Right of Way is sufficient in range of 60-67m, so that
further additional land acquisition not required.
The project road section does not fall near any wild life sanctuary and protected forest.
Hence clearance is not required as per MOEF guidelines.
The project road section does not fall in the vicinity of regulated area of protected monument
of archaeological site & remains declared as of national importance under the Ancient

2 Six-Laning
1. Width of Carriageway
1.1 The carriageway shall be 10.5 m wide (excluding 0.5 m wide paved portion of median)
on either side of the median. Provided that the width shall be adjusted to fit into
appropriate plans and cross sections developed in accordance with Schedule D to
accommodate all the features of Six-Laning described herein. The fact that different types
of cross sections need to be developed in different segments of the project length is
illustrated in an indicative manner in Appendix B-I.
1.2 Except as otherwise provided in this agreement, the width of the paved carriageway shall
conform to clause 1.1 above.
1.3 Other Features of Six-laning
1.3.1 Entry/Exit Ramps
Entry/Exit Ramps for entering into or exiting from the six lane carriageway shall be
provided at locations indicated in Appendix B-II.
1.3.2 Service roads
Service roads shall be provided in lengths indicated in Appendix B-III.
1.3.3 Flyovers/ Interchanges
Flyovers/Interchanges shall be provided as indicated in Appendix B-
IV
1.3.4 Vehicular Under passes/ Light Vehicular Under passes
Vehicular underpasses (VUP) and Light Vehicular Underpasses of different spans and
minimum vertical clearance shall be provided at locations indicated in Appendix B-V.
1.3.5 Pedestrian/Cattle underpasses
Pedestrian/Cattle underpasses (PUP/CUP) of different spans and minimum vertical
clearance shall be provided at locations indicated in Appendix B-VI.
1.3.6 Culverts
Culverts as listed in Appendix B-VII shall be provided, widened, reconstructed, or
extended.
1.3.7 Minor bridges
Minor bridges as listed in Appendix B-VIII shall be provided, widened, reconstructed,
or extended.
1.3.8 Major bridges
Major bridges as listed in Appendix B-IX shall be provided, widened, reconstructed, or
extended
1.3.9 Bridges not required to be widened
The bridges listed in Appendix B-X shall not be
widened
1.3.10 At grade junctions
At-grade junctions shall be provided at the intersection of service roads and all
intersecting roads. Existing At grade junction and median opening on the main highway
at the locations given in Appendix B-XI shall be closed.
1.3.11 Road Over Bridges
Road Over Bridges as listed in Appendix B-XII shall be provided, widened,
reconstructed, or extended.
1.3.12 Overpasses
Overpasses at locations as listed in Appendix B-XIII shall be
provided.
1.3.13 Drainage
Drainage measures shall be provided as given in Appendix B-
XIV.
1.3.14 Retaining Structures
Retaining structures at high embankment are listed as given in Appendix B-
XV
1.3.15 Median Width
Existing median shall be maintained as it is. Median shall be widened to 12m from
ch. 401+570 to ch. 401+630 to accommodate the structure components of interchange.
1.3.16 Median Openings
Median Openings shall be provided as given in Appendix B-
XVI
1.3.17 Slope Protection works
The Side slope shall be protected by using suitable slope protection measures
wherever required along the present highway.
1.3.18 Corrosion Protection for Reinforcement
Corrosion Protection for reinforcement shall confirm to the requirement of IRC SP:
80- 2008 “Guidelines for Corrosion Prevention, Monitoring and Remedial Measures for
Concrete Bridge Structures”.
1.3.19 Utilities
Provision for accommodating utilities shall be made both over as well as underground
wherever required.
1.3.20 Rainwater Harvesting
As per Ministry of Environment and Forests Notification, New Delhi dated 14.01.1997
(as amended on 13.01.1998, 05.01.1999 & 6.11.2000), the construction of Rain water
harvesting structure is mandatory in and around Water Crisis area, notified by the Central
Ground Water Board.
1.3.21 Use of Fly Ash / Pond Ash for Embankment
For use of Pond Ash for embankment construction, MOEF guidelines should be
followed.
1.3.22 Right of way
The proposed right of way is listed in Appendix B-
XVII
2. Project Facilities
Project facilities shall be constructed in conformity with Annex-I of Schedule-
C.
3. Specifications and Standards
The Project Highway shall be constructed in conformity with the Specifications
and Standards specified in Annex-I of Schedule-D.
