The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, usually known as the Berne
Convention, is an international agreement governing copyright, which was first accepted in Berne,
Switzerland, in 1886. Article 2.1 Enumerate protected works: Literary and Artistic Works is likely related

play in, or otherwise perform literary or artistic works this is parallel to Chapter 7 Section 202.1 of R.A.
8293 of the Philippines. Broadcasting as define in Rome Convention in Article 3(f) means the transmission
by wireless means for public reception of sounds or of images and sounds can be found also in Section
202.7 of R.A 8293 of the Philippines. Article 7 of this convention Particular Rights for the performers also
related to Section 203.1 of R.A. 8293 of the Philippines that states” 203.1 As regards their performances,
the right of authorizing:(a) The broadcasting and other communication to the public of their performance;
and(b) The fixation of their unfixed performance. Article 13 of this convention provides the Minimum
Rights for Broadcasting Organizations such as found in Section 211.1 the rebroadcasting of their
broadcasts; 211.2.the recording in any manner, including the making of films or the use of video tape, of
their broadcasts for the purpose of communication to the public of television broadcasts of the same; and
211.3 the use of such records for fresh transmissions or for fresh recording.
