Teaching philosophy

To me teaching is an important and honorable profession that requests responsibility and

commitment. As a future teacher I will be the ones who encourage students to achieve their
goals by creating a good environment of learning in where they have the opportunity to
construct their own knowledge. However, I think that this profession involves many
requirements like; dedication, patience, passion but mainly love to do this job since we are
responsible to form critical persons who contribute positively with ideas, or thoughts to the
society. In addition, to be a good teacher I am going to set up my own teaching philosophy in
where I will include the most relevant aspects that it engages like; strategies or methods of
learning, discipline, assessment, and the relationship among teachers and students.
First, the strategies or methods that I will use in my classes will be the ones that help students
with their learning process it means that they will go according to their needs in order to make
the learning more meaningful for them.
Second, the discipline is a really difficult task that teachers have to face since there are students
who behave differently than others however I will use some classroom management tips for
example; set up rules at the beginning of class to make students aware of them in that way they
will understand what they can or can’t do during the hour class and how they will be punished
if they misbehave.
Third, as every teacher knows assessment is the main component that learning demands that’s
why I will focus more in this part in order to check if the learning outcomes were achieved by
students so for that I will use formal and informal assessment to assess them. I consider that
every time the students are evaluated by using different means like giving feedback, asking
questions or taking some quizzes.
Finally, the rapport is the key aspect that I will develop among my students in order to create a
friendly and nice environment of learning in where students can feel important, respected and
belonged to the class.
To sum up, my teaching philosophy will be always directed toward constructing a greater
sense of confidence and self- esteem to students since the main purpose of education is to
empower, prepare and motivate students for their future.
