 About The Author

Teanu Jose G. Tamayo was born on November 11, 1998 and raised in Dagupan City,
Pangasinan, Philippines. He had his elementary schooling there in Harvent School
and highschool in Pangasinan Universal Institute, a Chinese School. For University
he goes to Saint Louis University, Baguio City where he is taking up Bachelor of
Science in Nursing.
Carrying on the Christian Spirit, competence, Social involvement and creativity as a
Louisans Student nurse, he strives through the trials and hardships to become a
registered nurse one day, top the international standards and serve humanity.

Purpose
To evaluate my coursework quality learning progress and academic achievement.
Determine whether I have met earning standards or other academic requirements
for courses grade-level promotion. Helping students reflect on their academic goals
and progress as learners and Creating a lasting archive of academic work products,
accomplishments and other documentation. With my strengths and hindrance.

Philosophy
My philosophy in life is is to serve humanity. Being a nurse is a job of unsung
heroes. It is noble, it is modest yet one of the hardest professions one can venture
on. The purpose is caring for man in all altruism in a Christ-like way of living.
To give unconditional service to all men and render holistic care, focusing on all the
dimensions of a human, in any phase of their life; be it patient, teenager, adult or
older persons is essence of it all.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the science and art of a nurse. It is
essential we realize this and gain motivation and fulfill our calling; our purpose in
life.

Summary of weekly meeting:
1/15/18
Today we discussed on how the portfolio is
done and the importance of having it creative
and professional as it would serve as evaluation
to coursework quality learning progress and
academic achievement.
We were re-oriented on the standards, us
Louisan Nurses, uphold. And being one of the
Centers of Excellence in the Philippines, we
must be globally competitive.

Had discussion on the history of surgery.
Reflecting, it was very interesting to learn about
the steps and obstacles man had to go through
to come up with a body of knowledge of
present times.
It was full discrepancies, violations of ethics,
sterility, antiseptic technique and much more. I
am glad I wasn’t born then.

Had quiz on the History of Surgery with a score
of 14.5/15 which was satisfactory. Wished to
improve more and bring it to a perfect score.
Reported Report about 21st Century
Perioperative Advancements and had a score of
9/10, same thoughts.

Had discussion on perioperative nursing. A
personal reflection I had was how complex it
was in nature and how fundamental it was to
know these concepts as it would serve as an
imperative routine to the OR concept.
Had a group quiz on the suffix and derivatives of
procedure related to surgery, with the score of
8/10. But I felt irrationally nervous to not let
down my group.

an assignment. I felt doing the assignment was a
