Applications are invited on prescribed format for the temporary post of "Research Associate
(RA - III)'' for the IMPRINT Project (Project No. 6292) entitled “Design and Development of
Dynamic Mechanical Analyser” jointly sanctioned by MHRD (Govt. of India) and SERB
(DST, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India).

5 Tenure of the : Extendable annually till completion of project, subject to
Assignment satisfactory performance and availability of fund release
by sponsoring agencies.
6 Job Description : Research Associate (RA) from Mechanical Engineering
design specialization will provide engineering support for
the research and development activities of the project,
with a focus on solid mechanics and materials
engineering including hand-on experience on DMA.
Knowledge in solid modelling, material modelling and
finite element analysis is strongly encouraged. Ability to
use MATLAB and ANSYS finite element software to
interpret the results from experiments is also essential.
The RA will also work in close liaison with the
investigators and appointed project staffs
(JRF/SRF/stipendiary Engineers) to keep track of the
advancement of the project and prepare technical report
in consultation with the investigators. Another major
responsibility of the RA would be to evaluate
performance of the developed product in testing of
various specimens.
7. Consolidated monthly : RS. 40,000/- per month*
compensation /

8. Essential : Ph.D (in Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent degree
Qualifications and or having 3+ years of research, teaching and design and
experience development experience after ME/M.Tech (in
Mechanical Engineering) with at least one research
paper in Science Citation indexed (SCl/SCIE) journal.
Experience gained during the pursuance of Ph.D. (after
ME/M.Tech) will be considered.

9. Desirable : a. Prior knowledge/research experience in
Qualifications/ mechanics and/or fabrication and mechanical
characterization of composite/nanocomposite

b. Two research paper in Science Citation indexed
(SCl/SCIE) journal
c. Functional Knowledge of Dynamic Mechanical
Analyser
d. Exposure in ANSYS, MATLAB, CATIA/Solidworks
