Chapter 2

PRESENTATION ANALYIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the gathered data aimed at answering the problems
identified in the preceding chapter regarding the awareness of puto vendors in Calasiao
Town Proper about applying business ethics.

Problem 1. What is the demographical profile of the respondents in terms of:

A. Personal-Related Factors
a. Age,
b. Sex, and
c. Educational attainment

Age. Out of 140 or 100% of the respondents 95 or 67.86% belong to ages 20 below, 30 or
21.43% belong to age brocket 21-30, 10 or 7.14% belong to age brocket 31-40 and the
remaining 2 or 1.43% belong to ages 50 above. Ages 20 below are more knowledgeable
about business ethics and they are more observable about the behavior of puto vendors.

Sex. Out of 140 or 100% of the respondents 91 or 65% of the respondents are female and
the remaining 49 or 35% are male. Majority of the respondents are female because there
is a bigger population of female customers buying puto compared to males.

Educational Attainment. Out of 140 or 100% of the respondents 3 or 2.14% of the


respondents are master’s degree, 48 and 34.29% are college graduate, 73 or 52.14% are
high school graduate and 16 or 11.43% are elementary graduate. Majority of the
respondents are college and high school graduate because they are knowledgeable about
business ethics.
Problem 2. What are the ethical values in business that the vendor’s of puto Calasiao
should apply?

According to respondents, puto vendors are frequently honest, keeping their promises,
and have concern to all their customers. The mentioned attributes got 3.71, 3.42, and 3.81
respectively based on computed weighted mean. Occasionally, puto vendors do not have
favorite customers, having 3.19 weighted mean. By garnering 4.10 of weighted mean,
survey showed that puto vendors have respect to their customers.

The overall weighted mean is 3.65. This means puto vendors fairly apply ethical values
according to the respondents.

According to survey, respondents disagreed on the descriptions under confusion,


differentiation, and situation. Puto vendors are able to identify attitudes, differentiate
the right and wrong, and knowledgeable in business. On the other hands respondents
agreed on the descriptions under identification, permanence and meta-self-awareness.
Puto vendors are knowledgeable on applying good attitudes and behaviors, on the
effect of applying good attitudes and behaviors in business and they have the full
knowledge that applying right attitudes and behaviors in business will lead to success.
