OVERVIEW

Business Process Description Overview

Transfers of assets are used for transfer of assets within same company code and for inter company
code. SAP differentiates between inter and intra company code transfers.

The below transactions will be covered in the following pages:

FI08.03.01 TRANSFER OF ASSETS WITHIN COMPANY CODE

Use this process when the class of Asset is to be transferred within same company code (same Circle)

Via Menus Accounting  Financial Accounting  Fixed Assets  Postings

 Transfer  Transfer Within Company Code

Via Transaction Code ABUMN

Input - Required Fields Field Value / Comments

Company Code Select from the option.
Asset number Enter the asset number which has to be transferred.
Document Date Enter the date of the document.
Posting Date System defaults this date as the entry date, cab be changed if
required.
Asset Value date Enter the date on which the asset should be transferred
Text Enter the Text for the transfer of asset , any user defined text can
be entered.
Transfer to – Asset - Existing Enter the asset number to which asset will be transferred.
New Asset If there is no exiting asset, the new asset can be created from
this radio button.
