Polls Results Summary

Background
Transform India with Modi is a citizen community of approximately 130,000 citizens
focused on providing Collective inputs to the Government. In less the 3 months, the
community has reviewed over 15 key priorities of India ranging from Fighting
Corruption to Women Safety and from Electoral Funding Reforms to Curbing Price Rise.
Over 7 whitepapers have been generated from the community already and submitted to
the Prime Minister’s Office and various Ministries in the Government.

Collectively, there are approximately 190,000 citizens in the various governance


communities.

Last week, a set of polls were conducted in this community and related communities
and here are some of the poll results:

Poll # 1 – How has the Government delivered in its first 60 days?

Over 30,000 citizens in the community voted on this poll. Approximately 70% of the
citizens in the circle believe the new Government has Met or Exceeded Expectations
while 30% believe that the Government has delivered Below Expectations.

Poll # 2 – What should be the No. 1 priority for the Government?

Over 28,000 citizens in the community voted on this poll. Approximately 42% believe
that the Government’s No. 1 priority should be Fighting Corruption followed by working
on Economic Growth and Fighting Price Rise. Clean India was a low priority for most.

Poll # 3 – What should be the No. 1 priority for Indian Railways?

As far as Railways go, citizens want Cleanliness of Coaches, Toilets and Stations as the
No.1 priority followed by Safety on Tracks. Improving Reservation systems and better
food was a low priority. This poll was conducted in Making Railways Better circle.

Poll # 4 – What bothers the Indian Consumer?

As far as the state of Consumer Grievances goes, most consumers had issues in the area
of Medical Services followed by Real Estate. Banking and telecom grievances were a
lower priority. This poll was conducted in the Making Consumer Affairs Better circle.

Poll # 5 – What should be the Government’s top priority for Varanasi?

A poll was also conducted in the Varanasi citizens circle with over 31,000 citizens. 75%
of the respondents care about cleanliness and civic sense in Varanasi. Surprisingly,
Clean up of Ganga and Ghat Modernization was not important to the locals who voted.
