rate of 70 revolutions per minute 5. Both Person 1 and Person 2 become uneasy. After several
minutes, the ride comes to a complete stop, and both people vomit . Person 1 vomits at a rate of
0.33 m/s until it hits the floor 1 2 4. At the same time person 2 vomits at a starting rate of 0.42
m/s and travels for 2 meters over the course of 3 seconds, then splats in someone’s face 1 2 4.

1. What is another term for negative acceleration and provide an example of it in the article
provided?
Deceleration, ex: “Person 1 vomits at a rate of 0.33 m/s until it hits the floor”
(instantaneous)
2. Which person’s vomit in the article provided has a greater rate of acceleration than the other
person’s vomit? Provide evidence to support your answer.
Person 2’s vomit. P1V=0m/s-0.33m/s = o.oo6m/s2 P2V=0.66m/s-0.42m/s = 0.08m/s2
