MSRP: $279.00 C 3000 B
Condenser Microphone
Description
Despite its physical resemblance to its predecessor Model
C 3000, the C 3000 B is an entirely new microphone. It has a 1”
(25mm) large capsule, with an active gold-sputtered mylar foil
diaphragm. This size helps shape response with the warmth
and transparency that are typical of other high-quality AKG
models. Its design provides a very low self noise floor of 14-dB-A,
along with a maximum level capability of 140 dB, producing an
overall operating range in the studio of 126 dB. Through the 10-
dB pre-attenuation switch the operating range of the
microphone may be shifted up to 150 dB for close-in pickup of
very loud sound sources. A bass cut switch provides a gentle
6-dB per octave roll-off below 500 Hz, compensating for
proximity effect in vocal recording. The capsule assembly is
internally shock mounted for low handling noise, and an internal
foam sheath minimizes breath noises and pops with minimal
attenuation of high frequencies.
Tailored for the modern studio, the C 3000 B has the typical
AKG large diaphragm “signature contour,” a slight dip at 2.5 kHz
followed by a rise at 5 - 6 kHz and 9 - 11 kHz. Its cardioid
pickup pattern is extremely well controlled, providing excellent
off-axis rejection across the entire frequency band.
The H 100 elastic suspension mounting is an included
accessory with the C 3000 B. Optional accessories include the
B 18 battery power supply, and the W 414 wind screen, The
microphone is transformerless and accepts phantom powering
over the range from 9 volts to 52 volts dc. The C 3000 B is
equally at home on-stage as it is in the studio.

D 112
Bass Dynamic Microphone
Description
The pop recording industry often prefers selected models
of dynamic microphones for the pickup of closely spaced
bass drums and bass guitar amplifiers. The reason is that the
moving system of the dynamic can be designed to handle
these high excursions with very high mechanical linearity. The
AKG Model D 112 is a descendent of AKG’s earlier D 12
dynamic microphone, widely known for its ability to handle
high level signals from bass drums and bass guitars in the
studio. The microphone has been designed with a low
resonance frequency and can handle very high transient
signals with virtually unmeasurable distortion. High frequency
response has been tailored to keep both bass drum and bass
guitar clearly distinguishable in the mix. A built-in windscreen
makes the D 112 also suitable for high SPL instruments
(trombone and tuba).

Condenser Microphone

Thank you for purchasing the MXL 604 Instrument Condenser microphone. With proper care, this mic will provide
MSRP:
many years of satisfaction. For best results, please take $39.99
a few moments to review this literature.

General Characteristics
This microphone has a twenty millimetre gold-sputtered diaphragm with a fixed cardioid pickup and an interchangeable omni-directional
capsule. Condenser microphones tend to be very sensitive, readily revealing very subtle sonic details. They also tend to pick up ambient
sounds more than dynamic microphones, which can lead to powerful feedback if you are not careful. We strongly advise experimentation
with placement and isolation requirements with the gain initially set low to avoid equipment and hearing damage!

Power Requirements
IMPORTANT - This unit requires phantom power at 48 volts, +/- 4 volts. Each unit has been thoroughly checked before shipping,
so if you do not hear sound, check that the phantom power on your mixer or separate power supply is switched on!

Microphone Cables
The microphone cable can have a profound effect on the sound of any microphone. Even the finest microphones will sound poor if
the interconnect cable allows noise to enter, or causes distortion and loss of information. Use only the best microphone cable your
budget will allow. We recommend using Mogami® brand cable.

Care
Dust and foreign material can degrade the performance of a microphone over time so always store the unit in its case. Remove
fingerprints from the exterior with a clean soft cloth.
