4. LEARNING STRATEGY

Description of learning strategy:

The course will use the Task-Based Learning (TDL), focusing the teaching – learning
process in the student, allowing them to acquire skills and responsibility in their own
formation; during the academic period, the student will consult the references of the
course to do the activities scheduled and, finally, identify principal aspects of the
professions to focus their learning process.
The activities schedules are:

Units 1 and 2. Pre - task - Update personal information and write an essay

Unit 1. Task cycle 1 - Write an article and demonstrate an application of the device
selected.

Unit 2. Task cycle 2 - Write an article and build a comparative table.

Units 1 and 2. Post - Task - Write a document with the solution of a simulated case.

The student will have a constant support by the professor and director of the course,
and through the synchronous and asynchronous accompaniment they deliver the
pertinent instruction, with the porpoise of ensure the quality of the final products.

5. DISTRIBUTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES OF THE COURSE

devices and simulating the solution.

6. STRATEGIES OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Description of academic support strategies to apply in this course

Synchronous accompaniment

The synchronous accompaniment is a strategy to establish a direct way to contact the

professors, so using tools like Skype, web conference and chat, the student will get a
method to solve questions, ask about the formation process and others, according to
the schedule designed.

Other choices available are Franjas de Atención en Centro (FAC) where the professor
will attend in person according to a scheduled time and his/her location, and Círculos
de Interacción y Participación Académica y Social (CIPAS) that are students groups
created voluntarily and can be oriented by a professor about a particular topic.

Asynchronous accompaniment

The asynchronous accompaniment is the attention in forums, mail and others, where
the answer won’t be on time. Through the different forums like news, general and
collaborative, the professors will attend all the situation described there; for example
questions, orientation, preview of the final product and others. The answer of the
question won’t be more than 48 hours.
