Project Story: Shahjalal Fertilizers
Wilh. Loesch was handling all freight forwarding activities for Shahjalal Fertilizer project in Bangladesh
which was a very prestigious project and happens to be the biggest monomer economic project
under cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
Year of execution : 2013-14 (ongoing)
Cargo Nature : Fertilizer Plant
Scope of Job : Loading at origin, Unloading at port of delivery, Custom Clearance, Survey of
Cargo, Arranging for Local movement of cargo from Chittagong Port to
Fenchuganj Site, Unloading the cargo at the Job Site
Cargo Volume : 55,766 CBM (February 2014), of total 100,000 CBM

Project Highlight: ODC Handling Involved

Construction of Jetty in Sylhet District, 25 Km from the project site.
Direct delivery for 37 ODC from 50 to 255 MT from Mother Vessel on the Barge.
Unloading of 13 packages up to 70 MT on stool and beams at the Jetty.
Engaged 7 barges at a time during September – October 2013.
Above operations were well planned by the technical team in advance.
Loading on suitable trailers as per weight& dimensions transportation& unloading at project site.
Two of the heaviest packages handled, weighing 316& 340 MT from Europe.
