of animal origin and among people who may be carriers. Enteric pathogen such as þ

ood borne illness caused by eating microbial contaminated food is an important public

health problem and is known to be a major of diarrhea diseases ( G ð.

ood is contaminated by varios pathogenic microorganism causing food poisoning. All

food borne diseases are classified is a poisonings and infections. ood poisoning can be the result

or either chemical poisoning or the ingestion of toxicant (infoxicationð. A bacterial food

enterotoxin formed in food during growth of certain strain of staphylococcus arises. The toxin is

termed an enterotoxin because it causes gastroenteritis or inflammation of the lining of the

intestinal tract.

The various sources of food contamination such as soil, water, air, dust and utensils. rom

soil, soil contain the grast variety of microorganism of any sources of contamination. Soil dust is

whipped up by air currents and soil particle are carried by running water so get onto foods, the

soil is an important source of heat resistant spore forming bacteria. Especially important are

various mold ang yeast and species of r

harmfull aspects of the street food as it contains various pathogen which may affect

their body.

IIð? ealth hazards from street food vending may be minimizes by avoiding poor handling

and awareness of need for personal hygiene and care in preparation, storage and
