Lesson Process:

Students will get into pairs and each pair will be given a portrait of a person to analyze.
They will use their imaginations to think about what character traits the people in these
portraits might have. They will also have to tell me how the characters’ actions SHOW
these character traits.
The students will then create a movement phrase where each movement depicts one
of the character traits chosen. They will use locomotor and non-locomotor movements.
The closing will be the students presenting their movement phrase to the rest of the class.
