My experience within the engineering industry includes sourcing and negotiating with

Teamwork At Patronics I am based in the purchasing department reporting


Initiative directly to the purchasing manager of this relatively new,
Negotiation privately owned, electronic component manufacturing company.
IT Skills – MRP, Microsoft Word & Excel My responsibilities include the procurement of a range of
Communication components for various new and existing applications. This
involves the setting up and progressing of purchase orders
(using MRP – Smart Vision), liaising with suppliers and the
shop floor over material requirements, monitoring supplier
performance and dealing with non-conformances. In addition I
go out to the market place to source and obtain quotes for new
components and help with general administration tasks within
the department.

As part of the accounts team my primary involvement was in KEY SKILLS DEMONSTRATED
raising and processing purchase orders, checking incoming
invoices to clear for payment and engaging new suppliers. I Communication
was also chiefly responsible for communicating with our current IT – PIRS System
suppliers at all levels to ensure the correct specification is Time Management
supplied at the best price within the time-scales required. I was
involved in document control, logging all incoming and outgoing
correspondence onto the PIRS system and provide new
employees with training in this area. Working for the principal
contractor on this fast track construction project with a value in
excess of £300M made for both a high pressure and rewarding
working environment.
