Honorable Edilberto C. Ilano Jr.

His political career started its growth when he became a Sangguniang Panglungsod
Member of the City of Calapan for three (3) consecutive terms. He was chosen to be a public
servant even though there are equally remarkable opportunities for him as Businessman. Before
joining the political arena, he was the President of Rural Bank of Puerto Galera and chairman of
EVI Enterprises

Before he elected as Board Member of the province, he became first a City Councilor of Calapan
were he implement some programs for his fellow calapeño which are Medical Mission, being an
author of orange card, also author of Calapan City Operative Development Council and he is also
the Co-Founder of City College of Calapan. After he finished his term as a City Councilor of
Calapan he believes that he needs to serve not only to his fellow calapeño but for all mindoreños
so he nominated as a Board Member and he won.

Being elected as Board Member of the province is one of the major turning points in his life.
He opens and extends his selfless service not only to his constituents, but most especially he
would want to win the trust of all Mindorenos. On his turn as Board Member of Province Of
Oriental Mindoro he is the author of the newest ordinance for the Senior Citizen which is an
ordinance providing financial assistance\ incentive to residents of the Province of Oriental
Mindoro upon reaching the age of 85 and every 5 years thereafter as part of the Provincial
Government of Oriental Mindoro’s effort to support Senior Citizen and appropriating the funds
.He also the author of the Provincial Ordinance granting benefits ad incentives to all qualified
Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) and Barangay Health Workers in Province of Oriental
Mindoro and Providing funds.

To be able to reach out the people though efficient and effective public service .BM Ilano was
appointed as Chairman of the Committee on Social Services, Person with Disability (PWD)
Senior Citizen, Poverty Alleviation, and Values Formation, and Committee on Ways and Means

As a Board Member in the Province of Oriental Mindoro only what he wants is to serve his
loving fellow Mindoreños , and to help them for all they need .He also want to train students for
those who want to be a leader some day and to be a good model for the youth.
