COURSE TITLE: Vocational Diploma / Advance Diploma (NVEQF Levels 5 & 6)


in Production Technology (Tool & Die)

INTAKE: 30 Students (Subject to Revision on recommendation of BOS)


ELIGIBILITY: Those who have passed Senior Secondary Examination or its
equivalent with at least Second Division and secured not less than 45
% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

AGE LIMIT: Minimum : 17 years as on 1st October.


Maximum : No Bar

ADMISSION: Through Departmental test or merit of qualifying examination.

COURSE FEES: Rs. 10,000.00 per candidate / Per Year (Per Level)
(Subject to Revision on recommendation of BOS)

JUSTIFICATION:
Aligarh is known for its industries of Locks, Hardware & sanitary
fittings. Besides these Aligarh is the birth place of Zinc die casting. There are a vast number
of Die casting and plastic processing industries in Aligarh.
Aligarh is a city of traditional artisans having traditional skills in Die making, Mould
making, Lock fitting, Pattern making, Sand casting, chrome plating, Nickel plating,
electroplating etc.
There is a shortage of skilled persons in tool rooms of almost all industries of NCR region
including Aligarh. The product of this course will be absorbed immediately in the tool
rooms of industries in Aligarh and NCR region.
Moreover by providing technical know how the skills of artisans will improve greatly. It
will also improve the productivity and growth of industries at Aligarh and nearby areas.
