Solution Volant Casing Running Tools
(CRTi™ and CRTe™)
Being able to rotate, circulate and reciprocate casing and
liner strings can make the difference between stuck pipe
and getting safely to bottom.
Volant’s Casing Running Tools thread directly onto the quill
of any top drive, engaging the casing ID below the threads,
through a torque energized radially expanding die system.
The CRT integrates seamlessly and brings the benefits of
the top drive to casing running. Rig-in and rig-out steps
are simple, intuitive and efficient. The architecture has a
proven track record having run more than 229 million feet
(70 million metres) of casing worldwide.
The main difference between the CRTe and CRTi is that
the CRTe grips the external rather than the internal surface
of the casing.
Both have become industry standards, with the CRTe
being the choice for handling small diameter, heavy
strings in deep wells.
Problem Centralizer Failure

Hydroforming technology is used to produce this high-
quality, high-strength product.
HydroFORM Centralizers have become the product of
choice for operators drilling critical, challenging wells. The
smooth geometry and wrap around rib coverage reduces
torque and drag during casing and liner installation and
improves cement distribution and hydraulic isolation.
Both the HydroFORM and HydroFORM SlimLINE™ *
series of centralizers offer the following benefits:
• Reduced torque and drag during installation to
improve run-in efficiencies;
• Remain intact during installation – regardless of
extreme conditions;
• Improve cement jobs;
• Ensure effective hydraulic isolation; and
• Deliver reliable well integrity and facilitate
efficient reservoir development.

Problem High Costs/Long Lead Time
Solution Volant DeltaTORQ™ Rings
(DTR™)
When you’re looking for an increase in torque, short lead
time and reasonable cost, Volant’s DeltaTORQ Rings in
conjunction with API connections are the solution.
DeltaTORQ Rings are completely round. This enables
more efficient use of the space in the J-section of the
coupling and enables the ring to be thicker, resulting in
increased delta torque capacity and improved reliability
of engagement of the pin tip. The DTR was created to
increase torque. They improve pin tip integrity by providing a
larger shoulder to make up against. The DTR also reduces
the likelihood of snagging when passing through the inside
diameter (ID) of the coupling.
