5th,
2018 To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Ms. Kalee Alter. I have been fortunate to
have been Kalee’s academic advisor over the four years she has been in the Early Childhood
Education program at Bradley University, as well as her teacher in several classes; as a result, I
know her very well, and feel I am able to assess her ability to become
an effective teacher upon graduation.
Ms. Alter is an independent, reflective and responsible person. I noticed these
qualities right away in her freshman year, and my high opinion of her has been
confirmed in the courses I have taught where Kalee was also my student.
I have found Ms. Alter’s responsibility, maturity and calm demeanor refreshing,
making her a wonderful person to work with. Her intellectual ability is outstanding, and her
GPA and honors attests to this. In addition to her experiences in the classroom through her
program at Bradley, Kalee has extended her experience by being a camp counselor for four
summers. Her interest in, and ability to create connections with her students is excellent.
Kalee is just the kind of person I’d love to have as a teaching colleague in the field of
Early Childhood: she is enjoys working with children, is warm, caring and has a work ethic and
sense of humor that will be great assets to her in the classroom. With her academic
qualifications and outstanding professionality, Ms. Alter will be a wonderful addition to any
school or childcare facility that is interested in hiring the best.
I’m very happy to be able to recommend one of my all-time favorite students, as she
starts her teaching career!

Sincerely,

Dr. Cecile M. Arquette
