shock peening, engineered surfaces for EGR Applications, NFC coatings, etc.

 Microstructural and surface characterization of DLC films, Laser modified surfaces and
friction stir processing using SEM, TEM and optical microscopy.
 Friction, wear and scuffing evaluation of different materials (metals, coatings,
polymers, etc.) using various test rigs, such as: pin-on-disk, block-on-ring, piston ring
and liner and four balls rig.
 Stress analysis including conformal, non-conformal contacts, thermal stress and
fatigue analysis.

CURRUCULUM DEVELOPMENT
 Developed the ME curriculum at the Abu Dhabi University which was approved by the
Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) and by the UAE education council.
