Infill Housing Trends

Webster & Kirkwood

neighborhoods, but
how long will that
trend continue?
by Julie Brown Patton
Infill housing construction may only
last another few years in the Webster
Groves-Kirkwood region, predict some
local Realtors. However, city planning
officials say the trend is still picking up
significant steam.
Along with recent infill trends came
residents’ concerns about a variety of
issues, such as new homes being built to
proper scale, alterations to the charac-
ter of current neighborhoods, long-last-
ing construction disruptions, and
changes to overall property values.
