- Whilst it was my personal interest to become a stock market investor, it is essential to have the
knowledge of stock market. In that context, I started my investigation the ways to become successful
investor. Having inquired, my friend suggested www.investopedia.com and referred a book ‘The
Intelligent Investor’ by Benjamin Graham. Upon my further research, I was aware the insights of balance
sheet, profit / loss, cash flow and simple ratios as an important parameters to select a good stock. The
web site also suggested to read annul / quarterly report of a company before investing hard earned
money. Upon my further study, it was enlighten my knowledge about Accounting principles
competency.
