NURSING ISSUES 2
Introduction
There are too many males suffering from diabetes than women. Typically, short males have been
found to suffer from diabetes due to either lifestyle challenges, depression or stress streaming
from financial, emotional or family pressure. Whether from rich or poor backgrounds shorter
men are at higher risk of diabetes .Diabetes is a condition that has never been fully understood.
The Problem
Shorter men,no matter the social status are prone to myriads of health issues,be it
TB,hypertension or diabetes. These health issues are as well as problem to the nursing
fraternity. For instance, the typical ratio of shorter and taller men is often 4:10 of men, taller
men carries the greatest share. Even though shorter men are perceived to be more
get a shorter man boasting of his status as being suffering from diabetes. But why do shorter
men ? Could this be attributed to other factors beyond lifestyle and social issues. Even though
diabetes can be a problem to anyone, shorter men are more affected across all social, economic
When shorter men suffer from diabetes ,it lowers their productivity, lifespan and their happiness
scale is disrupted. Too,their sex life becomes a problem, this ends affecting the larger society
There is a huge discrepancy between shorter males and taller males diabetes patients. The
discrepancy is as a result of weight and height differentiation which is blamed for the growing
problem. According to Theodore ,et al (2008),majority of shorter males are excluded and
discriminated on thought that they are more healthier that taller males. This trend is affecting
the productivity of shorter males within all social spheres. The issue of shorter males being
more susceptible to diabetes has been identified as a prevailing factor that is making majority
Diabetes is not a preserve of shorter males ,it is a class problem that can affect anyone. The
issue of high diabetes presents a superb ground for understanding the measures to be
employed to counter the problem. Diabetes is a lethal disease that requires massive financial
muscle to treat,it requires a lot of social, emotional and economic resources to treat . The need
to explore this issue is to develop a viable solution that can help in streamlining the treatment
regiment and lower the risk amongst the shorter men. Many competent and performing shorter
The purpose of the study is to investigate and understand why and how diabetes is affecting
Why are shorter men more prone to diabetes? Do shorter males have a weak immune system
,or is that they are naturally include to high weights which lead to diabetes?

Literature Review
High instances of diabetes of shorter males is a nursing issue that have continued to dog the
domain of the rich and the affluent, many short male patients continue to be alienated and
excluded despite their deteriorating conditions, and urgency of care needed. Treatment bias
including health care stereotyping are evident within the existing diabetes treatments programs
since the nursing facilities are often designed for taller men who appears to be more confident.
Similarly, diabetic as a condition has been factored and tethered to class aspects of caring. Many
scholars argues that shorter men are victims due to their anatomy and have weak capacity to
withstand elements that cause diabetes, too they are perceived to be detached and without
emotionally attachment to their wellbeing. Different studies point out that diabetes among the
shorter men is more of genetic factors ,while another school of thought thinks otherwise.
Recent studies posit that 52% of short male in their lifetime do nurse one of the two types of
diabetes ,while another 49% is under diabetes type I medication. Current studies examining
why shorter men have very high percentage of diabetes demonstrates that their exists a need to
define the correlation between shorter men and diabetes. The condition is more widespread in
developed countries, but the issue is,globally, shorter men are more affected. The ratio is high
and the shorter men appears to be less prone to stress or worries which causes diabetes. This
globally.
Methods
NURSING ISSUES 5
There are various methods and procedures employed in steering a research to a productive
procedures and data analyses must be factored. The study is designed to be descriptive. This is
due to the fact that the researcher would determine the influence of the variables and design in
correlation to each other to give a conclusive results. The variables to be tested have to be
quantitatively defined. The usefulness of the selected research design would be anchored on
the premise of the research methodology. Sampling procedure would be tied to random and
probability sampling. Likewise, the participants would be assigned to the defined groups divided
on the margins of random assignments as well as median splits. Data gathering would involve
Research design
The subject examined would entail the use of descriptive research design. The objective is as a
result of the various variables that would be probed and quantified. The relationship between
shorter and tall males would examined, aspects of genetic, hereditary, treatment, and health care
service delivery are some of the factors to be examined. These attributes are essential in in
questioning and extracting the suitable information to forge a strong ground for generating a
viable solution. Thus, the approach would provide a critical analysis of the problem.
Independent variables would constitute information given to the participants and the
dependent variables would be the information remembered and brought forward by the
participants. The data would be analyzed used SPSS,this would help in determining the
correlating factors and the probability instances of why ,how,or when diabetes is rampant

among shorter men compared to tall ones. To understand the scope of diabetes amongst the
shorter males as an issue in nursing,it would be important to question the usefulness of shorter
comparison to tall males . These attributes would be the basis by which the scope of qualitative
