of poverty (spiritual, relational, and financial) to
be an issue of
reconciliation and that
God offers us healing,
redemption, and

aspect of our lives.
The people who need

both the vulnerable and those who advocate for
them, and we must partner together as his

What is Assist?
Assist is a program that partners with
individuals towards developing practical,
sustainable solutions to meet basic needs.
Assist cannot offer emergency
financial relief. Support is
offered by providing access
to coaches and social workers who
promote a collaborative process of
problem-solving and resourcing
towards agreed upon goals.  application?
What kinds of support is offered?
Assist’s services and resources include a
partnership with a social worker that
can offer things like motivational
interviewing, community referrals,
counseling scholarships, financial
assistance, food and household provisions,
client advocacy and
accountability, and
referrals to Care and
Compassion services
including: Budget Care, Hero Care, Unborn
Care, Adoption & Foster Care, Pastoral
Care, Life Coaching, and other supportive,
wrap-around services available through
Bridgeway.
Who can apply for Assist?
When determining partners for Assist,
Bridgeway considers the individual’s plan
for long-term development. Individuals
who desire to develop long-term goals
towards spiritual, mental and
environmental health should apply. 
How do I apply for Assist?
You may apply for Assist by requesting an
appointment or visiting a Care Team
member during weekend services at the
Care & Compassion table in the lobby. The
application is digital, must be completed
at Bridgeway, and takes anywhere from 10-
45 minutes to complete.
What happens after I complete an
Each application will be reviewed and
responded to within 2-3 weeks of the form
being completed. Within that time period,
you will receive instructions about
scheduling either a Budget Care
Consultation (required for financial
requests), or your first meeting with a social
worker.
How long will it take to receive
financial assistance?
Bridgeway cannot offer emergency financial
relief, and Assist is not able to provide all
applicants with financial assistance.
Processing times vary by situation and will
require at least 3 weeks to offer a
determination regarding financial assistance.
Follow up meetings after the financial
assistance are often encouraged and the
average Assist partnership can take two to
three months to fully complete.
What if I need immediate financial
assistance?
For financial emergencies, we encourage
you to reach out to agencies that can
provide crisis alleviation. For referrals to
potential agencies, please visit the
Community Care page on

"Community Resources", or contact us at
