was consecrated by Swami Ranganathanan
of Ramakrishna Ashram in 1976. Since he
wished the temple to have an atmosphere
that is more conducive to meditation, there
are no temple bells in Birla Mandir. The
temple is best viewed at sunset or at night
when the temple is lit up and illuminates
with purity and calmness. Since the temple
is built on a hilltop, one can also have a
