2nd day of Short term training programme on AI by NIT-RR

-Media cell, NIT Raipur

On the 2nd day of 5 day long short term training program on “Applications
of deep learning, the students of NIT Raipur were brimmed with knowledge
of software required for deep learning. Deep learning or artificial intelligence
is a wing of computer science engineering which is used in purposes like big
data and natural language processing. Some of the most famous software
companies like Facebook and Google investing a huge sum of money to
develop these futuristic innovation in technologies, leading to such Short
Term Training Programme (STTP).
This http was focused on teaching practical usage of artificial
intelligence, hence each session is followed by hands on experience. The
head coordinator for this STTP and the HoD Dr. Dilip Singh Sisodiya said
that artificial intelligence can add dimensions in the way we use computers.
Computers in near future will be equally smart as we are, the modern day
Technologies like voice to text input, face recognition unlock patterns are live
examples of artificial intelligence. In near future we would be able to see
computers to fill in colours in black and white images, voices in voiceless
videos, automated gaming. Students from different states like Karnataka,
Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra were found to participate in this futuristic
training course.
On the 2nd day of the STTP students were preached about “Tensor Flow” an
open-source software library developed by the software giant, Google.
Topics like artificial neural networks, Feed Forward networks (FFN), RNN
etc. were also touched. Auto encoders, Deep generative models being
centre of focus for the next day.
