Senior Seminar Guidelines:

Many people face struggles because of where they come from and who they are. A lot of

times people do not have any help so that they can face the different struggle society has set in

front of them. For my Senior Seminar Leslie and I will will bring in two women that have a big

role in a program called Building Bridges. Although I have not been a part of the program I have

seen the kind of an impact that it has made on Leslie. The program has made her a leader and

more aware about things that are going on around the world. She has been part of an amazing

program that has to the power to create a lot of action taking people and it’s important for others

the hear about that program

Global Domains

The Global Domains that our Senior Seminar will address will be Taking Action,

Communicating Ideas, and Recognizing Perspectives. The reason I say that is because one of the

main reasons for this program is to create and help leaders grow. You can’t become a leader and

grow without recognizing the issues. The issue that this program mainly focuses on is inequality.

In order to grow as a leader you have to communicate what you are thinking but you also need

others perspectives so that everyone can build off of not only ideas but just ways of doing things.

Once you have shared and heard ideas then it becomes time to change to problem. Those are the

ways that these global domains will be addressed.

Speaker

The speakers that will be coming in have been apart of the program a some years. They

take part in big roles mostly doing the job of directors and supporting the students in what they

want to do and for what they want to see. They are a big support system for the students that take

part in the program.
