ते ध्यानयोगानुगता अपश्यन्

त्वमेव देवीं स्वगुनैर्निगगिढाम्

त्वमेव शक्तिः परमेश्र्वरस्य

मां पाक्ि सवेश्र्वरी मोक्षदात्री (१)

te dhyAna yogAnugatA apashyan


tvam eva devIm svagunair nirgooDAm
tvam eva shaktih parameshwarasya
mAm pAhi sarveshwarI mokshadAtrI
Those adopting meditation (Dhyana) and contemplation (yoga) saw,
You as the only divine Goddess hidden in her own qualities
And you are the only power behind the great God of universe,
And so please protect me, oh goddess of all and oh giver of salvation.

देवात्मशक्तिः श्रुततवाक्यगीता

मिर्षिलोकस्य पुरिः प्रसन्ना

गुिा परम् व्योम सतिः प्रततष्ठा

मां पाक्ि सवेश्र्वरी मोक्षदात्री (२)

devAtmashaktih shrutivAkyagIta
maharShi lokasya purah prasannA
guhA param vyoma satah pratiShTA
mAm pAhi sarveshwarI mokshadAtrI

You are the self power of the divine , sung about by the Vedas,
Delighted in front of great saints propitiating you,
Who have established yourselves in their hearts as Truth,
And so please protect me, oh goddess of all and oh giver of salvation.

परास्य शक्तिः क्वक्वधैव श्रग यसे

श्र्वेताश्र्ववाक्योक्दतदेक्व दुगे

स्वाभाक्वकी ज्ञानबलक्िया ते

मां पाक्ि सवेश्र्वरी मोक्षदात्री (३)

parAsya shaktih vividhaiva shrUyase


shwetAshwa vAkyoditadevi durge
svAbhAvikI gyAna balakriyA te
mAm pAhi sarveshwarI mokshadAtrI

You are His Shakthi called Para, which is spoken in different ways,
You are the one who is being celebrated by Swethavatara[1] Upanishad,
You are by your nature, the power force in all actions and wisdom,
And so please protect me, oh goddess of all and oh giver of salvation.

देवात्मशब्देन शशवात्मभग ता

यत्कगमिवायव्यवचोक्ववृत्या
त्व
ं पाशक्वच्छे दकरी प्रशसद्धा

मां पाक्ि सवेश्र्वरी मोक्षदात्री(४)

devAtma shabdena shivAtma bhUtA


yatkUrma vAyavyavacho vivrutyA
tvam pAsha vicchedakarI prasiddhA
mAm pAhi sarveshwarI mokshadAtrI

Formed by Self-power of sound[2] of Siva’s aatma


You are declared by sacred texts as the sound of Anahatha[3],
Which exists in Kurma and Vayavya[4] as Shakthi
You are known as one cutting off worldly attachments (or the rope that drags you to death),
And so please protect me, oh goddess of all and oh giver of salvation.

त्व
ं ब्रह्मपुच्छा क्वक्वधा मयग री

ब्रह्मप्रततष्ठास्युपक्दष्टगीता

ज्ञानस्वरूपात्मतयाखिलानां

मां पाक्ि सवेश्र्वरी मोक्षदात्री (५)

tvam brahmapucchA vividhA mayUrI


brahma pratiShThAsyupadiShTa gItA
gyAna svarUpAtmatayAkhilAnAm
mAm pAhi sarveshwarI mokshadAtrI

Hey Mayuri[5], you are praised as the route to Brahmam,


You are the form of Brahamam established by the Bhagwad Gita too,
You are the wisdom personified, enact the sport of creation
And so please protect me, oh goddess of all and oh giver of salvation.

|| इति श्री दुर्गा पञ्चरत्नं संपूर्णम ् ||


iti shrI durgA pancharatnam sampUrNam

5. Durga worshipped Lord Shiva in the form of a pea cock. And hence she is addressed as Mayuri
