Red Bull

The red bull energy drink was created in 1987 by an Austrian man called Dietrich Mateschitz.
Mateschitz was inspired to create the red bull energy drink after a trip to Thailand. The drink that
inspired the creation of red bull was called Krating Daeng. Mateschitz decided to take the idea of the
energy drink and change the taste slightly so it would fit more in line with that of the Europeans.
Mateschitz founded “Austrian Red Bull GmBh” in partnership with a man called Chaleo Yoovidhya.
Now over thirty years and 62 billion cans later Red Bull is still the most popular energy drink in the
world. Today Red Bull is available in 171 countries and over 62 billion cans of Red Bull have been
consumed so far.

The red bull can is a tall slim can that features the company logo and a blue and silver colour
