A pesar de haber llegado a México,

probablemente no has ido al más grande del
mundo. Se encuentra en la India y cuenta con
un impresionante paisaje.

3) Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta: EUA

El festival de globos aerostáticos se realiza en

Nuevo México, Estados Unidos. Son nueve
días en los que se lleva a cabo la exhibición
anual. Cabe destacar que es el más grande del
mundo, con más de 500 globos en el evento.

4) Sapporo Snow Festival: Japón

Realizado en el mes de febrero, es uno de los

más grandes festivales de figuras de hielo en
el mundo. También hay presentaciones
musicales en escenarios que conjuntan
diversos estilos de tallado en hielo. Desde
1950 se ha convertido en uno de los festivales
más emblemáticos de la temporada.
5) Ágitagueda Art Festival: Portugal

El contemporáneo evento reúne uno de los más

extraños conceptos: un cielo hecho de
sombrillas. Las calles se llenan de colores en el
mes de julio, así que si estás por el viejo
continente, no te olvides de visitar este nuevo
concepto.

6) La Tomatina: España

Más conocido para los mexicanos, La Tomatina

reúne a miles de personas anualmente para
lanzarse tomates los unos a los otros. Realizado en
el mes de agosto, cuenta con más de sesenta años
de historia y tiene como propósito la diversión.

7) Día de Muertos: México

Conocido y celebrado por muchos

mexicanos, tiene como objetivo honrar a
los difuntos de una forma más ocurrente y que
muchas culturas podrían no entender en la
misma forma. Proclamado por la UNESCO como
Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad,
se realiza en el mes de noviembre.

8) Els Enferinats: España

Relacionado como festejo al Día de los Inocentes, se realiza cada mes de

diciembre. Vestidos de militares, se simula un golpe de Estado mientras una
banda ameniza el evento.
9) Merfest: EUA

También conocido como el Festival de Sirenas y Tritones, tiene lugar en Carolina

del Norte. Así como existen convenciones para los fans de cómics, el anime y
hasta ciertos grupos musicales; Merfest es la convención anual para los fans de la
personificación de dichas criaturas mitológicas.

Hermosos elefantes decorados y pintados participan en la exhibición anual

mientras hacen demostraciones de fuerza, partidos de polo y hasta concursos de
belleza. Los que eran antes auténticos transportes para la realeza, son venerados
