Note 2: With the use of additional optical amplifiers, significantly higher optical losses on RF-over-Fiber links can be compensated. For example using the DEV Systemtechnik
EDFA Pre-Amplifier Module DEV 7415, optical losses up to the first -of potentially several- optical amplification stages can be up to 35 dB.
