ANCIENT TO MODERN TIMES

Before our world has been dominated by such treasures to nourish and one of them are
Ancient Cities. Can you imagine how rich our world history is? Starting with its rich and flouring
civilization in Egypt then followed by many countries which influenced our world today. Combining
ancient and modern is not new. Throughout History, whether through inheritance or acquisition,
people have adapted existing buildings and incorporated objects from previous generations and
different cultures.

Ancient City in Egypt contained a lot of great architectural works and structures that can be
seen up to now like: Pyramids and Spinx. They called their kings or leaders as Pharaohs. They used
hieroglyphics as their kind of writing with the usage of symbols and signs. Also they contributed a
lot in our history like: Calendars, Medicines, Geometry and etc. But millions or billions of slaves
suffered and died because of the construction of the pyramids but according to some said it is just a
process by which they honor their gods.

Ancient Cities in the Fertile Crescent like: Assyria, Babylonia, Persia and etc. also contributed
a lot. Like the Assyrians they contributed the libraries, the Babylonians for the Hanging Garden of
Babylon under the rule of King Nebuchadnezzar and etc. Even though they contributed a lot in our
modern world, their people suffered a massive and deadly rule under King Hammurabi, the Code of
Hammurabi which explains the law of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Ancient Cities in Rome and Greece they also contributed a lot in our history like the Greek
and Roman mythology. In Ancient Greece, there are two known cities they are Sparta and Athens.
The Athenians were the top who produces intelligent minds, philosophers and great artists. Thus,
they contributed a lot in our modern society like: the influence of literatures, other words and etc.
While Romans have this big coliseum, which are always showcasing gladiator events and they are
also the ones who contributed the religion Roman Catholic.

Despite notable differences in appearance and governance, ancient human settlements

function in much the same way as modern cities. Sigmund Freud once compared the human mind to
the city of Rome. He was talking about its intriguing series of layers. Just as the human psyche has a
build-up of memories, Rome has a history that goes down and down, deeper and deeper: every
modern building is on top of a renaissance one, and under that you find the medieval buildings, and
then ancient Rome itself. Rome was the world's first ancient megacity.

While the Ancient Cities in Asia also contributed a lot in our modern world like: Great Wall of
China, Hinduism and etc.

Without these past events, I think our modern world wouldn’t be this rich. The influence of
the past has greatly contributed to what we have now in the present and also soon in the future.
