1. Why should we hire you?

I think that my experience in the (widget) industry and my ability to work independently make me a
good match for this position. Also, I’m passionate about this industry and I’m driven to deliver high-
quality work.

2. Describe a difficult experience at work and how you handled it.

During our OJT, some of the employees wouldn’t even acknowledge our presence. They thought that we
wouldn’t fulfill our duties and assumed that we are immature. I did my job and took all of the
opportunity to make a good impression. I was a very diligent worker and behaved in a highly
professional manner at all times. After about two weeks of the silent treatment from them, they came
up to us and told us how impressed they were. She told me that I had done an excellent job and was
the fastest learner that she had ever seen. She apologized to me for ignoring me and took me under her
wing and shared what she knew with me.

3. Describe your best and worst boss.

My best boss was a person who set such a wonderful example for her employees, that she inspired
people to work harder. She was always 'up', even when she wasn't, and never let a customer leave
unhappy. She would always have the right thing to say to provide encouragement for her customers and
employees alike. Well, I wouldn't say that any boss was the “worst”, as its natural for a manager and
subordinate to have conflicts at times.

4. Describe your career goals.

In the short term, I hope to work as a bank teller for a company such as yours; one with a mission based
on customer service and care. Working as a bank teller for a company I believe in will prepare me to
hopefully take on expanded responsibilities in the future, as these become available.

5. Describe your work style.

My work style is extremely flexible – working on so many different projects requires me to be adaptive. I
am also dependable. I have rarely missed a day of work, and am known for coming in early. I always
meet deadlines, and help my teammates to meet theirs as well.

6. Do you prefer to work independently or as a team?

I am very comfortable working on a team, but I can also work independently, as well. I have experience
with independent and team-based work and I see the value in both approaches.

7. Do you take work home with you?

When I need to, bringing work home with me is not a problem. I realize the importance of meeting
deadlines and getting work done on time, and sometimes that requires extra hours in the office or at
home.

8. Have you ever had a difficulty working with a manager?

I have been very lucky to have had terrific managers during my career so far. I have respected each of
them, and got along well with all of them.

9. Have you gotten angry at work? What happened?

Anger to me means loss of control. I do not lose control. When I get stressed, I step back, take a deep
breath, thoughtfully think through the situation and then begin to formulate a plan of action. For
instance, when I am given multiple projects to complete in a short amount of time, rather than feeling
frustrated, I come up with a strategy for how to complete the work in a steady, methodical manner that
will not overwhelm me.

10. How do you handle pressure?

I react to situations, rather than to stress. That way, the situation is handled and doesn't become
stressful. For example, when I deal with an unsatisfied customer, rather than feeling stressed, I just
focus on the task at hand.

11. How do you measure success?

"For me, success is about doing my job well. I want to be recognized as someone who always does their
best and tries their hardest to make my goals."

12. How long do you expect to work for this company?

I don't have any immediate plans to move on. I'd like a job where I can have continuity and be part of a
team.

13. How much do you expect to get paid?

My salary requirements are open based upon the position and the overall compensation package. Since
this is just an entry level position, I am assuming maybe 10 to 15 thousand per month.

14. How would you describe the pace at which you work?

I usually work at a steady, consistent pace. Because of my ability to organize and plan out my work
schedule, I always complete my work ahead of time. I created a schedule, and steadily checked off each
of these goals while still successfully completing my other duties.

15. How would you describe yourself?

I'm a people person. I really enjoy meeting and working with a lot of different people, and am known for
being a great listener and clear communicator, whether I’m engaging with colleagues or employers.

16. How would you handle it if your boss was wrong?

Think very carefully about when and how you want to tell your boss they've made a mistake or were
wrong about something. "If at all possible, speak to your boss in private, so there's no chance you will
embarrass him in front of others,"

17. Is there a type of work environment that you prefer?

I enjoy working in an environment where the members of the team have a strong sense of
companionship, and a good work ethic. I like working with competent, kind, funny people who like to
get things done. It’s important to me to feel that I can trust my team members to always do their best,
because I do.

18. Tell me about yourself.

I am Jessa Coleen Domingo, I recently graduated from Tarlac State University with a degree on Business
Administration majoring in Financial Management. I’ve worked hard in my education and internships to
prepare myself. I had my OJT at Landbank of the Philippines where I have learned a lot of things that can
be very useful in my job. The management was in good terms taking care of their employees. After
maybe 2 years of working and saving, I am planning to take up Law.

19. Tell me why do you want to work here?

Your company's reputation is so desirable. Former colleagues of mine work here, and I've seen how
much they value the company's willingness to let employees pitch big ideas and have an active
leadership role in new initiatives.

20. What Are You Looking For In Your Next Job?

I am excited by the opportunity to work with an innovative, successful company such as your own. I look
for jobs about which I am passionate, because this allows me to be extremely productive and creative.

21. What Are You Passionate About?

I'm passionate about making a difference. When I'm involved with a project at work I want to do my
best to achieve success. I feel the same way about what I do in my personal life.

22. What are your goals for the future?

My long-term goals involve growing with a company where I can continue to learn, take on additional
responsibilities, and contribute as much of value as I can.

23. What Can You Contribute to the Company?

I believe in working smarter rather than working harder and I have always applied that principle in my
life.

24. What challenges are you looking for in your next job?

I would be joining a team that has high expectations, and I look forward to contributing to their
successes.

25. What Did You Like or Dislike About Your Previous Job?

26. What Do You Expect From a Supervisor?

I appreciate a work environment where supervisors try to make personal connections with their
employees. I would like to be able to go my manager if I have an issue or idea and to be able to feel
comfortable to expressing my thoughts.

27. What Are the Most Difficult Decisions to Make?

Decisions I have to make within a team are difficult because these decisions take more time and require
deliberate communication between team members. Because these decisions involved group
conversations, our team learned how to communicate effectively with one another, and I believe we
ultimately made the best decisions for the team.

28. What have you learned from your mistakes?

I think one of the most important things I've learned is persistence. Not to give up too soon, because the
solution is probably right in front of me.

29. What Interests You About This Job?

30. What is Your Greatest Strength?

I have an extremely strong work ethic. When I'm working on a project, I don't want just to meet
deadlines. Rather, I prefer to complete the project well ahead of schedule.

31. What Is Your Greatest Weakness?

Because I concentrate so much on what I’m doing, I often have a hard time juggling interruptions and
other things that come up. However, I've come to a good balance by setting up a system to ensure
everything is done correctly within the given time.

32. Tell Me About a Time You Handled a Challenge

33. What problems have you encountered at work?

During our OJT, some of the employees wouldn’t even acknowledge our presence. They thought that we
wouldn’t fulfill our duties and assumed that we are immature. I did my job and took all of the
opportunity to make a good impression. I was a very diligent worker and behaved in a highly
professional manner at all times. After about two weeks of the silent treatment from them, they came
up to us and told us how impressed they were. She told me that I had done an excellent job and was
the fastest learner that she had ever seen. She apologized to me for ignoring me and took me under her
wing and shared what she knew with me.

34. What Was Your Biggest Accomplishment?

35. What Will You Do If You Don't Get This Position?

I really feel like this would be a good fit for me, so I'm hoping I won't have to think too much about that!

36. What Do You Know About This Company?

37. Give an example of teamwork.

When I was in high school, I was part of our school’s soccer team. It requires a kind of team play, but the
overall goal of learning to be a member of the team is priceless. Teamwork for me means working
together towards a common goal.
