Most of the results were interpreted as “Unsatisfied”, therefore the

program distinctly presents that the women and children who are victims of

violence have their benefits but are not fully satisfied with what they get. We rely

on their recommendations and opinions regarding the problems with the

mandatory programs, to create a solution for the program problems, which is to

formulate recommendations for the policy makers to further improve the

Mandatory Programs quality of services.

Conclusions

1. The satisfaction level on Republic Act 9262 Mandatory Program in

Valenzuela City based on the rating of the respondents, who are the

women and children beneficiaries of the program, received an overall

moderately unsatisfied result. This means that women and children

were able to avail the privilege from the adequate program within the

area of Valenzuela City, however not all of the victims were very

satisfied because the program was given to them by the local

government was just based on the violence they encountered and they

were not totally informed that there were such mandatory programs

that can be given to them or extended to them.

2. The everyday security related issues and concerns of women and their

children in Valenzuela City is a real determinant of the current status of

the number of abused and beneficiary of the Mandatory programs of

Republic Act 9262 in association with the City Government of

Valenzuela. The current status of the Mandatory Programs that are

being implemented in Valenzuela City for the benefits of the women

and their children victims of violence can reflect the current national

status of security program. And so far, the Philippines is still struggling

and our programs needs improvement and formulate far more

developed policies and projects so we can consider the overall

satisfaction of every Filipino, especially for women and their children.

Recommendations

Based on the satisfaction result of the respondents on the mandatory

programs for women and children who are victims of violence in Valenzuela City,

the researchers arrived on the following recommendations:

1. The City Social Welfare Development Office of Valenzuela should

develop and establish more programs in disseminating information

through their protection campaigns, about the rights and privileges of

the victims and the need to raise public awareness about the Program.

They should seek the other agencies and offices to help in information

and violence awareness campaign like DepEd and NGO’s. It is for the

necessary utilization to continue to educate women and their children

about their rights and privileges.

2. The local government should cooperate with Valenzuela Emergency

Hospital personnel to provide the victims especially those who are

victims of physical abuse their medical laboratories and medicines.

Another reason is for the maintenance of the hospital's facilities that

will satisfy the needs of the victims.

3. The barangays should intensify its effort in implementing livelihood

program and support services for women and children victims of

violence.

4. Future researchers are earnestly encouraged to investigate further

about women and children related studies specially those not covered
