Would you support a four-year tax freeze (yes or no)?

Yes

Why or why not?

I believe the people of london, especially senior citizens, and
People on fixed income, need a break to let the cost of living catch up to their income.

Why do you want to represent Londoners at city hall?

I believe there has been years of over spending, causing an over burden on city tax
payers, i would like to see more control , investing the money to cleanup and beautify the
tourist sites i/e fanshawe lake, to attract more events of interest to a wider varity of
tourist. Add more green space to our city parks perhaps a few artificial streams, so people
can enjoy a more serene, relaxing atmosphere.
Look into a future lite rail system. To bring more people in to the city centre without the
headache of parking. I believe this would refresh the city center. Set up a special fund to
enable the entrepreneur element of our great city to put their idea's into motion. This fund
would enable people with the right ideas, energy and skills to open a business with little
cash, on a payback schedule, with minimum interest. Also give the future entrepreneur,an
incentive to open their business in depressed areas of our city, such as the hamilton rd.
Corridor where travellers to our city will see a more robust community and stop along the
hamilton rd. Corridor to spend money, putting a new lease on a depressed area,
generating a more business population, leading to a healthier, more vitalized area. (it's
time to get back to thinking outside the box).

What do you consider a) the most important issue for London? And b) the most
important issue for the ward in which you’re running?
More responsible spending, put more money into tourism, after all we are sitting between
toronto & windsor. We should go out for the tourist & travellers more aggressivly.

Would you support a four-year tax freeze (yes or no)?
Yes
Why or why not?
I believe that you will never get there if you say at the start that it can’t be done. We need
to spend the tax payers’ money smarter. For example why in this economy are we
looking at spending $400,000 on public art for the new police station or $100,000 to
make a salt dome pretty? We need to start think outside the box and more like a business.
Why do you want to represent Londoners at city hall?
I believe I have the business experience, political experience and common sense to
represent Ward 1 and the whole City well.
What do you consider a) the most important issue for London? And b) the most
important issue for the ward in which you’re running?
JOBS and TAXES in both cases

Would you support a four-year tax freeze (yes or no)?

Yes

Why or why not?

I feel that London is one of the cities that pay the highest municipal tax rates. I feel that
we should be focussing on more important issues. I feel that we should be putting more
money into helping our local businesses, more programs to assist Londoners who are
unemployed and struggling from the recession. We need to focus on re building a new
and improved image for parts of the city that have a bad reputation and that are
struggling, such as East London and Downtown London.

Why do you want to represent Londoners at city hall?

I feel that Ward 1 Londoners need to be heard. We need to focus on improving our Ward
and Londoners need to know that they have someone that wants to hear what they have to
say. Ward 1 is struggling with the closing of many local businesses that no longer have
the financial means to remain open. Ward 1 has a reputation for being the low income
part of the city and I want to change that. Ward 1 has a lot of potential and there is a lot
we can do to improve its reputation.

What do you consider a) the most important issue for London? And b) the most
important issue for the ward in which you’re running?
I believe that the most important issue right now for Londoners is the potential for rising
taxes. With the recent recessions people are still struggling to get back on their feet. Tons
of Londoners are still unemployed and trying to do their best to survive. Raising taxes
would only make it more difficult for homeowners.

The most important issue in my Ward is its reputation and closing of many local
businesses. If you drive down Hamilton Road you will see tons of empty buildings that
where once business that were doing well and now they just stand abandoned. We need to
focus on booming the Ward 1 area.
