Dzaky since 2014 for his many good achievement and activities.
As a lecturer and the head of the department, I have witnessed his tremendous growth and
development not only through years academic achievements, but also a great character. Dzaky
achieved very good result with GPA of 3.71 of 4.00 in seven semesters. He was elected to
participate in StartSurabaya Startup Incubator and ITS Technology Incubator to build useful
startup product. He was a finalist in some competitions, such as Indonesia Information and
Communication Technology Award, Dev+ Mobile Competition, Education Application
Competition by Bukit Asam Foundation. He also became a receiver of Bank Indonesia
Scholarship.
I also acknowledge his contribution towards existing problems in society, for instance, Dzaky
develops CIKAR, a mobile game for kids to learn authenticity characteristics of Rupiah money;
iTripBudaya, an Android application of cultural heritage information in Gresik; Meable, an
Android application to help visually impaired people using their smartphone functionalities.
Dzaky is definitely an exceptionally competitive & problem solver person.
I strongly believe that Dzaky has the potential to be an outstanding student and he is an
unquestionable candidate for graduate study in Software Systems Engineering at RWTH
Aachen University. I therefore highly recommend him for admission to your master’s

It is my pleasure to recommend Dzaky Zakiyal Fawwaz for Software Systems Engineering

master degree in RWTH Aachen University. Having known Dzaky for past one semester, he
performed outstanding work not only in his academic achievement but also in work experience.
During his time in the final year, Dzaky demonstrated a good work ethic and interpersonal
skills. He has been taking thesis with the title “Human Activity Recognition on Video Data
using 3D Convolutional Neural Network". At our first meeting, I offer the problem for his
thesis, in the next meeting Dzaky propose this good method, by finding and read carefully
many papers. He did this independently and quickly.
I also acknowledge that Dzaky has shown a tremendous potential for the practical activities.
He proved himself to be capable doing various work. He was a web developer at Martinez
Software House and also at Communication & Informatics Office of Demak. Dzaky handled
an Android project for 18th Asian Games and another for Regional Planning & Development
Office of Demak. He also became an intern in a big company, Chevron Pacific Indonesia. It is
shown that he was productive, professional, and likes to improve his skills.
Thus, I strongly support and recommend Dzaky as a hardworking and highly motivated student
