II. Prerequisites:
a. What is wind?
b. Students will observe and record data on how wind acts on objects.
V. Instructional Procedures:
a. Entrance- Students will share what they know about the wind.
b. Students will take their wind flags outside to measure the wind.
ii. Students will respond with a possible wind scale level for a given
situation (i.e. my hat blows off my head)
iii. Students will be given a straw to use to concentrate their air on the
objects.
f. Exit Ticket- Students will be asked to share 1 thing they learned about
wind today
VI. Materials and Equipment: Weather and sky journal, Book on Wind, Straws,
prediction work sheet, collection of small objects.
VII. Assessment/Evaluation:
a. Entrance
c. Exit tickets
