1. FUNCTIONAL LOCATION

To Create Functional Location

1. Enter Transaction Code IL01 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical
ObjectsÆFunctional LocationsÆ Double Click IL01-Create.
2. Select StrIndicator fieldÆ click or Press F4.
3. For Pipeline, Select 2 (N-XXXX-XXXX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX) and Click to proceed to the
next screen.
4. Select FunctLocCat fieldÆclick or Press F4.
5. Select M (Technical system-standard) and Click to proceed to the next screen.
6. Enter Functional Location ID in Functional loc. field as per Structure Indicator.
7. Enter Superior Functional Location in superior Tab, if required.
8. Click on top left of the screen OR Press Enter.
9. Enter Description of the Functional Location in Description field [max. length 40 characters]
10. Click on Tab.
11. Select MaintPlant fieldÆclick or Press F4.
12. Select ID of Maintenance Plant for Functional Location and Click to proceed to the next
screen.

To Make Changes in Functional Location Data

• Enter Transaction Code IL02 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical
ObjectsÆFunctional LocationsÆ Double Click IL02-Change.
• Functional Location recently created will be displayed by default.
• There are different search criteria available to search the already available Functional Location.
• By clicking or By Pressing F4 at Functional Location Field, a pop-up menu appears where
the Functional Location, which is desired to be changed by user, can be searched using different
search criteria by clicking on top right of the screen.
• If the User does not know the name of the Functional Location, then by selecting Text
(=Description) option he can search a Functional Location with some key word (which had
been entered at the time of creation of Functional Location). For e.g. key word *Block Valve
Assembly* in Description Bar. By selecting the Functional Location from the search result list,
and pressing enter on it to proceed to next screen, user may enter into further hierarchy, by
clicking on the small icon on the right side of the text bar of Functional loc.
• The Following fields cannot be changed because they are provided only once i.e. at the time of
creation of Functional Location.

2. EQUIPMENT
Note: This activity will be done by user having Master Data Creator Role

To Create Equipment

1. Enter Transaction Code IE01 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical
ObjectsÆEquipmentÆ Double Click IE01-Create (General).
2. Select Equipment category fieldÆ click or Press F4.
3. Select M (Machines) ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
4. Enter Equipment ID in Equipment field (Max. length 18 characters) and Press Enter OR Click
on top left of the screen.
OR
If you want Auto Generated ID then just select Equipment field and Press Enter OR Click
on top left of the screen.
5. Enter Description of the Equipment in Description field [Max. length 40 characters]
6. In Tab, Select Object type fieldÆ click or Press F4Æ Select required type
ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen. [This field is not mandatory, it
can be skipped]
7. Click on Tab.
8. Select MaintPlant fieldÆclick or Press F4.
9. Select ID of Maintenance Plant for Functional Location and Click to proceed to the next
screen.

11. Select Cost Center fieldÆclick or Press F4.
12. Click or By pressing Enter in the Cost center window, a list of Cost centers appears from
where the user can chose the relevant Cost center. Place the cursor on the desired cost center
and “Double Click” or Click to proceed to the next screen.
13. Select Planning Plant fieldÆclick or Press F4.
14. Select PS01 for Maintenance Planning Plant and Click to proceed to the next screen.
15. Click on Tab.

16. By clicking the Installed Location Button on the right side of the Functional loc. field, a
popup window appears.
17. By clicking or By Pressing F4 at Functional loc field, it takes user to another window from
where the required Functional Location can be searched by using different search criteria by
clicking on top right of the screen.
18. After selecting the desired functional location, Click or Press Enter to proceed to the next
screen. Equipment has now installed at the given functional location.
19. Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save.

To Make Changes in Equipment Data

• Equipment recently created will be displayed by default.
• There are different search criteria available to search the already available Equipment.
• By clicking or By Pressing F4 at Equipment Field, a pop-up menu appears where the
Equipment, which is desired to be changed by user, can be searched using different search
criteria by clicking on top right of the screen.
• If selected search criterion is “Equipment by functional location” then enter Equipment
Functional Location in Functional Location Field and check all fields in Explosion and then
click execute button or press F8.
• The Following fields cannot be changed because they are provided only once i.e. at the time of
creation of Equipment.

To Create Production Resources / Tools

1. Enter Transaction Code IE01 in the command line OR

ObjectsÆEquipmentÆ Double Click IE01-Create (General).
2. Select Equipment category fieldÆ click or Press F4.
3. Select P (Production resources/tools) and Click to proceed to the next screen.
4. Enter Equipment ID in Equipment field (Max. length 18 characters) and Click on top left
of the screen OR Press Enter

5. Enter Description of the Equipment in Description field [Max. length 40 characters]

17. Select required Task List Usage ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.

3. BOM (Bill of Material)
Note: This activity will be done by user having Master Data Creator Role

To Create Equipment BOM

1. Enter Transaction Code IB01 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical ObjectsÆBill of
MaterialÆEquipment BOMÆ Double Click IB01-Create.
2. Select Equipment fieldÆ click or Press F4. A pop-up menu appears where the Equipment,
which is desired to be created, can be searched using different search criteria by clicking on
top right of the screen. If selected search criterion is “Equipment by functional location” then
enter Equipment Functional Location in Functional Location Field and check all fields in
Explosion and then click execute button or press F8.
3. Select Required Equipment ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
4. Select Plant fieldÆ click or Press F4.
5. Select Required Plant ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
6. Select BOM Usage fieldÆ click or Press F4.
7. Select 4 (Plant Maintenance) ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
8. Press Enter or Click on top left of the screen.
9. In Tab, Select ICt (Item Category) field for ItemÆ click or Press F4Æ Select
L for Stock Item or N for Non-stock Item ÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the
next screen.
10. Select Component field for ItemÆ click or Press F4. A pop-up menu appears where the
desired component can be searched using different search criteria by clicking on top right of
the screen. Recommended search criterion is “Plant Material by Description” so after selecting
it just Click to proceed to the next screen.
11. Select Required ComponentÆDouble Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
12. Select Quantity field for Item Æ enter required quantity.
13. Select Un (unit) field for Item QuantityÆ Click or Press F4 Æ Select required unitÆ
Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
14. Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save.

To Make Changes in Equipment BOM Data

• Enter Transaction Code IB02 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical ObjectsÆ Bill of
MaterialÆEquipment BOMÆ Double Click IB02-Change.
• The system automatically picks up the last equipment created.
• There are different search criteria available to search the already available Equipment.
• By clicking or By Pressing F4 at Equipment Field, a pop-up menu appears where the
Equipment, which is desired to be changed by user, can be searched using different search
criteria by clicking on top right of the screen.
• If selected search criterion is “Equipment by functional location” then enter Equipment
Functional Location in Functional Location Field and check all fields in Explosion and then
click execute button or press F8.

To Display Equipment Data

• Enter Transaction Code IB03 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical ObjectsÆ Bill of
MaterialÆEquipment BOMÆ Double Click IB03-Display.

OPTIONAL:-

To mention any MATERIAL as ASSEMBLY in BOM

1) Select Item (material) in the list


2) Click on the item icon button on the top of the screen or Press F7.
3) Click on tab.
4) Check field of PM assembly on bottom of the screen and Press Enter.
5) Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save.

4. CHARACTERISTICS
Note: This activity will be done by user having Master Data Creator Role

To Create Characteristics

1. Enter Transaction Code CT04 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Management of Technical
ObjectsÆEnvironmentÆ ClassesÆ Master DataÆ Double Click CT04-
Characteristics.
2. Select Characteristic fieldÆ Enter a Characteristic ID (max. length 30 characters) and then
Click create button on right of Characteristic field.
3. Click to create Characteristic.
4. In Tab, select Description fieldÆ Enter description of Characteristic (max.
length 30 characters)
5. Set status as in Status field.
6. Set Data Type as in Data Type Field.
7. Select Number of Chars fieldÆ Enter any value [e.g. 5]
8. Select Decimal Places fieldÆ Enter required value [e.g. 2]
9. Select Unit of Measure fieldÆ click or Press F4Æ Select required unit Æ Double Click
on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
10. Click on Tab Æ Enter the values one by one
11. Click on Tab Æ Select Class Type field Æ click or Press F4Æ Select
required Class Type Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
12. Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save.

To Make Changes in Characteristics Data

5. CLASSES

To Create Classes

1. Enter Transaction Code CL02 in the command line OR

ObjectsÆEnvironmentÆ ClassesÆ Master DataÆ Double Click CL02-Classes.
2. Select Class fieldÆ Enter a Class ID (max. length 18 characters).
3. Select Class Type fieldÆ click or Press F4Æ Select required Class Type [e.g. 002
(Equipment Class)]Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
4. Click create button on right side of Class field.
5. In Tab, select Description fieldÆ Enter description of Class (max. length 40
characters).
6. Set status as in Status field.
7. Click on Tab Æ Enter the required Keyword for searching criteria.
8. Click on (characteristic) Tab Æ select Char. fieldÆ click or Press F4. A pop-up
window appears where the desired characteristic can be searched using different search criteria
by clicking on top right of the screen. After selecting search criterion, Click to proceed to
the next screen.
9. Select required Characteristic Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
10. Press Enter or Click on top left of the screen.
11. Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save.

To Make Changes in Class Data

• Enter required class in assignments and press Enter.

To Create Work Center

1. Enter Transaction Code IR01 in the command line OR

2. Select Plant fieldÆ click or Press F4.

8. Enter Description of the Work center in Description field [max. length 40 characters] on right
side of the Work center field.
9. In Tab, select Person responsible fieldÆ click or Press F4.
10. Select person responsible [e.g. 101 ( Anis Akhtar Chohan)] Æ Double Click on it or Click to
proceed to the next screen.
11. Select Usage fieldÆ click or Press F4.
12. Select required usage [e.g. 004 (only maintenance task lists)] Æ Double Click on it or Click
to proceed to the next screen.
13. Select Standard value key fieldÆ click or Press F4.
14. Select SAP0 (no standard values) Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next
screen.
15. Click on Tab.
16. Select Control key fieldÆclick or Press F4.

Click button at the bottom left of screen window to proceed to the next screen.

19. Select Capacity category fieldÆclick or Press F4.
20. Select required Capacity Category [e.g. 002 (Person)] Æ Double Click on it or Click to

right side of the Capacity category field.

26. Select ‘A’ (Planner group A) as Capacity Planner Group Æ Double Click on it or Click to
proceed to the next screen.
27. Select Factory calendar ID fieldÆclick or Press F4.
28. Select ‘PA’ (PARCO) as Factory calendar ID Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to
the next screen.
29. Select Base unit of meas. fieldÆclick or Press F4.
30. Select ‘HR’ (Hours) as Base unit of meas. Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the
next screen.
31. Select Start fieldÆclick or Press F4.
32. Enter the Start Time of office hours and Click to proceed to the next screen.
33. Select Finish fieldÆclick or Press F4.
34. Enter the Finish Time of office hours and Click to proceed to the next screen.
35. Select Length of breaks fieldÆclick or Press F4.
36. Enter the Length of breaks and Click to proceed to the next screen.
37. Select Capacity utilization fieldÆ Enter ‘100’ as 100% capacity utilization.
38. Select No. of indiv. cap. fieldÆ Enter as required (e.g. 1).
39. Select Capacity fieldÆ Enter ‘HR’ for Total calculated capacity in hours.
40. Check on Relevant to finite scheduling at bottom left of the screen.
41. Check on Can be used by several operations at bottom left of the screen.
42. Click on back button on top of the screen.
43. Click on Tab.
44. Select Capacity category fieldÆclick or Press F4.
45. Select required Capacity Category [e.g. 002 (Person)] Æ Double Click on it or Click to
proceed to the next screen.
46. Select Other formula fieldÆclick or Press F4.

To Create General Maintenance Task List

1. Enter Transaction Code IA05 in the command line OR

Æ Task ListsÆ General Maintenance Task ListsÆ Double Click IA05-Create.
2. Enter Task list Group ID in Group field (Max. length 8 characters) and Press Enter OR Click
on top left of the screen.
OR
If you want Auto Generated ID then just select Group field and Press Enter OR Click on
top left of the screen.
3. Enter Description of Task List Group in Description field [Max. length 40 characters] on right
side of Group Counter field.
4. Select Planning plant fieldÆclick or Press F4.
5. Select required Planning Plant Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
6. Select Work center fieldÆclick or Press F4.
7. Selecting searching criterion as , select Plant fieldÆ click and Select

5. Confirm the Start of Cycle by clicking on popup window.
6. If necessary, Select row and release the due maintenance calls by clicking on button at
bottom left of the screen.
7. Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save.

To View the Preventive Maintenance Order

1. Enter Transaction Code IP24 in the command line OR

the next screen.
5. Click on top left of the screen OR Press F8 to execute.
6. Close it by back button .

19. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
STRATEGY PLAN
Note: This activity will be done by user having Planner Role

To Create Strategy Plan

1. Enter Transaction Code IP42 in the command line OR


Click LogisticsÆPlant MaintenanceÆ Preventive Maintenance Æ Maintenance
Planning Æ Maintenance Plans Æ Create Æ Double Click IP42- Strategy Plan
2. Select Maint. Plan cat. fieldÆ click and select “Maintenance Order”.
3. Select Strategy fieldÆ click or Press F4.
4. Select C (Scheduling by factory calendar).
5. Press Enter OR Click on top left of the screen.
6. Enter description of Maintenance Plan in Maintenance plan field.
7. In Tab, Enter the required functional location in Functional loc. field OR equipment
in Equipment field.
8. Select Planning plant field Æ click or Press F4.
9. Select required Planning Plant Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
10. Select Order Type field Æ click or Press F4.
11. Select required Order Type Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
12. Select Main WorkCtr field Æ click or Press F4.
13. Select required Main Work Center Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next
screen.
14. Select Planner group field Æ click or Press F4.
15. Select required Planner Group Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
16. Select MaintActivityType field Æ click or Press F4.
17. Select Maintenance Activity Type as 002 (Preventive Maintenance) Æ Double Click on it or
Click to proceed to the next screen.
18. Select Priority field Æ click and select required priority.
19. Select required Planning Plant Æ Double Click on it or Click to proceed to the next screen.
20. At the bottom of the screen, on Task List, in the row of GrpCr field, click on create task list
button .
21. For create task list refer to create task list text Æ Select General Task List and Press Enter.
22. Select group A and Enter.
23. Enter Work Center, Usage, Planner Group and Status.
24. Click on button on top of the screen.
25. Fill out Operation description, Work with unit, duration, Duration with unit.
26. Click on Maint. Package button at the bottom of the operation screen.
27. Select the strategy of operations sequence.
28. Click on or Press Ctrl+S to Save, and come back on the Maintenance Plan Screen.
