WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE (WBS)

Instructions: Read the case study and complete the work breakdown structure following the instructions in
the PM4R Guide. The following activities do not have an established order, but represent the work that the
Haiti project must complete. There are 38 activities in components 1, 2 and 3; among them are products and
work packages. Your objective is to complete the WBS on the next page, making sure that each task is in the
appropriate area. The WBS already includes some elements to help you complete the exercise. Remember to
put the result of the activities in the WBS, not the activity itself. For example, the result of activity 11 “Install 30
kitchen units” is: “30 kitchen units installed”; that is what you put in the WBS, the result, not the action.
