Expression Ready RFP Retrovirus Control

anRFP is a Red fluorescent protein that can be easily detected using standard GFP filter sets. The lancelet fluorescent proteins are a newly discovered, promising group of fluorescent proteins introduced to the market exclusively from Allele Biotech. These proteins were discovered in Lancelets (also called amphioxus), a species of small fish that are usually found buried in sand in shallow parts of temperate or tropical seas. Alleles RFP Retrovirus Control is based on the Gryphon Retroviral system, one of the most time-tested retrovirus systems in use in over 3,000 laboratories worldwide for gene delivery. Viral Particles are packaged with a proprietary process to achieve unparalleled high titer and are ready for incubation with target cells, allowing for expression of the Red fluorescent protein LanRFP.

Storage: -80C. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles

Steps: 1. Plate target cells to 40-60% confluence in a 24-well plate before infection. 2. Place LanRFP-virus stock (virus titer: 1x107 IU/ml) in a 37C water bath and before totally thaw transfer onto ice immediately. 3. Make a serial dilution of 3-4 different multiplicity of infection (MOI = infectious units/ cell number) to test the target cells.
