EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Processed dried chilli always being cut manually using knife or scissors. This
conventional method requires a long time to cut dry chilies with large quantity and
usually consumed time. In addition, cut chillies are limited in production, high cost and
require a lot of manpower. The objectives of this project are to design and fabricate a
prototype of chilli cutting machine and seeds separator, shorten time for chilli paste
production and analyse the performance of the prototype. This machine is equipped
with a "feeder" section to insert dried chilli before cutting process. At the cutting section,
there is a cutting blade connected to motor. Type of cutting blade used is blade of
paper shredder. The entire cutting section will be neatly closed with a wall made from
acrylic board to avoid cut chilli trapped. In dried chilli seed separator, vibrate plastic
mesh help to remove chilli seeds. The last part is drawer at the bottom of the machine
works for chilli seeds collector. QR Code sticker is placed at the front body of the
machine. It is used by scanning the code to have Standard Operation Procedure or
Machine Manual for the machine. So that, it can make it easier for users to find out
information about this machine on the website. It is hoped that this project will facilitate
consumers in terms of energy saving and workload.
CHAPTER 1

1.1 PROBLEM STATEMENT

Cutting and separating dried chilli seeds is a machine that is suitable for use by
factories such as chilli sauce and chilli paste production. This machine can also be
used by restaurants and retail outlets that often get crowded. This machine is designed
to reduce the use of manpower and produce more production in a short time. This is
because, if chilli cuts and chilli isolation are manually created by the user, there are
many steps and challenges to produce chilli chillies. It takes quite a while and the
isolation of chilli beans is not as clean as it saves time because it is necessary to use
chilli as soon as possible in cooking as well as produce more chilly-chilled products as
requested by customers. Additionally, cutting and seclusion of chilli seeds will
manually imprint the incandescent on hand after completion. It also takes time to
recover from incandescent.

Techno Enterprise is a Malaysian company offer machine that able to cut dried chilli
and separate the seeds. It is called “Seeds Seperator”

CONCLUSION

Chilli Seed Separator indeed an innovative and upgraded ideas of current dried chilli
cutter with extra functions. Features and specifications of the chilli seeds separator
will give solutions to the problems experience by the customers. The machine is high
quality but affordable for the respective customers.
