Justin Sanchez, of Java Hot Spot, is the proud recipient of the Navasota Music Study Club’s dessert of the month raffle. Each month for a year, the members of the
club bake a seasonal homemade dessert and deliver it to Sanchez. This month’s offering was cinnamon apple pie delight made by Carolee Botkin.

The benefit for St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rockport, hosted by St. Joseph and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grimes County, raises approximately $32,000
through an auction Wednesday night to help St. Peter’s rebuild after Hurricane Harvey.

One of the hottest items at the benefit for St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rockport on Wednesday night was a tray of homemade cinnamon rolls. A group of residents
secured the winning $1,100 bid and quickly donated the treat to the Father and Sister from St. Peter’s to enjoy on their ride home.
