Form a group of 3-4 members. Each group produces a TV advertisement. The group is required to
present the advertisement for 20 minutes and it will be assessed.
The advertisement is divided into two parts:
a) 10 minutes –promoting the product
b) 10 minutes – presenting the advertisement
The advertisement should be about promoting health or children’s products. It should consist of
dialogues to introduce / promote the product and jingles to accompany it.
Script (20%)
Marks are awarded in the category for:
use of correct grammar
appropriate and effective choice of words
dialogues/scripts that appeal to the audience
meaningful message conveyed
continuity and smooth development of the advertisement
moral values effectively projected
Penalty (5%)
participants touch on sensitive issues such as race, religion, politics, personal attacks, etc
participants present the promotion and advertisement in less than the stipulated time

Rules and Regulations
1. The selection of the advertisement may be originally written, adapted and authentic.
2. The advertisement should symbolize local health and baby products. They should not touch
on politics, racial and religious sentiments.
3. The use of props, costumes, backdrop, music and sound effects carry marks.
4. A maximum of 5 marks will be deducted if participants:
touch on sensitive issues like politics, racial or religious sentiments or
present the promotion or advertisement in less than 15 minutes or more than 20
minutes.
5. Participants will be disqualified if the promoter:
reads directly from or refer to the scripts
is prompted by others
6. The presentation will be assessed as a group work.
