The Fenix Youth Project, Inc. is a 501(c)3 To encourage youth to use
non-profit organization dedicated to
their creative talent to impact
diverting youth from destructive choices
providing alternative ways to have fun, social change. 
and opportunities to impact change in
their community and use their voice.

We prioritize local and state issues that
affect underrepresented people and
communities we serve in the community. We
will also support national issues as time
permits.
RIZE YOUTH POETRY
PROGRAM
At the intersection of dynamic artistic
presentation and engaged civic
participation, Fenix Youth Project Inc. is one
of only three Brave New Voices network
organizations in the state of Maryland.
YOUTH AND ADULT
DIALOUGES
As a service to the community, we have
begun to facilitate creative-based youth &
adult dialogues within the community in
efforts to help change the dynamic between
youth and the adults they interact with.

LEADERSHIP
PROGRAM
Provides students with social justice
education and training outside of the
classroom, and supports their growth into
socially responsible youth leaders.
 EVENT PURPOSE
Ripples 2 Fenix Youth Project Inc.'s Rize Youth Poetry Program

Waves Poetry will host its first annual Ripples 2 Waves Poetry Festival
for youth on April 20-22, 2018. The festival will celebrate

Festival youth leadership and social activism by bringing

awareness to many issues they face everyday. 
SPECIFICATIONS
The festival will include a series of
poetry performances and writing
workshops catered to the theme of
social justice issues. You will have
the opportunity to compete in a
poetry slam, where the winner will
receive a mini-grant to go towards
a social justice initiative and
community project.  
Our organizing committee is relying on support from our
sponsors to help make Ripples 2 Waves a great success.
