Response to Passage(s) and Connection to the Topic of Interest:

I find a connection between all three quotes because they talk about the
mistreatment of undocumented immigrants living in the US and the migrants that
are entering the US. I am interested mostly is the “normalizing violence” in the US
towards immigrants. We see it in today’s deportations that was order by President
Trump, which shows that it is an ongoing contribution of violence towards migrants
in this country.

1. What is the relationship between normalizing violence of immigrants in

america and the deportation of unaccompanied migrant children?
2. What type of ways that we normalize violence among the undocumented
population entering the US. Why are children not excluded from
conversation?

This texts talks about how Central Americans are being targeted when
depaotation is taking place here in the united states. It mostly focus on the increase of
deportation since the election of Trump. “​98,000 migrants were detained by Mexican
immigration agents last year” I liked the facts that this article gave rather than just
making claims.

It give a cut and clean version of the lager conversation which I see that these could be

Mental health among immigrant is one the biggest cause of their track to coming to the
US. mental health effects both adults and children at the young age of 4 years old.
“​Two-thirds of migrants interviewed at shelters across the country reported suffering at
least one violent attack”. Although this was mentioned in the book it didn’t catch my eye
that it was relevant to all (men , women, and children). Without the help of the US
government and lack of reasons in school children are not able to be help in the best way
they should to get cope with the trauma.

gang violence of that migrant are forced to be in these groups. This text is the a neutral
response to the book and gives a critic to the larger conversation.
