We were assigned to do a critical refection about our macro teaching experience

conducted in class for the course PRKA 3012, Planning of Teaching and Learning as its one of
the course’s requirements. We were tasked in a group of four students to present for our macro
teaching.

Before the macro teaching process we had a discussion to choose amongst our lesson
plan. First, we planned to choose on Tharshini’s lesson plan since she did writing skill. However,
after our tutor, Madam Azmah’s guidelines, we tend to do a new lesson plan based on our skill
given to us. WE deided to choose Year 5 on the unit .

First, we planned to think our idea on how to carry out a writing lesson plan since it is a
new lesson plan. Each and every group members contribute their own ideas about the lesson.
Finally, we choose to carry out our lesson as a story which makes the lesson more engaging and
interesting. We had a lot of discussions which lead to few changes that involve activities and time
management. Other than that, we faced some difficulties during prepare the lesson plan since it
is an hour lesson. So, we plan activities that achieve the objective of lesson.

I was glad to work with my peers as they helped me to prepare materials for the lesson.
They were supportive and encouraged me to improve the lesson plan before the macro teaching.

Some of my other friends in class gave both positive and negative about the macro teaching.
