infrastructure development group with over three decades experience in water, environment,
energy and infrastructure. SUL has been established to oversee the public private
partnerships and build-own-operate-transfer businesses of the SPML group in the water and

Role of Project Finance Managers

Senior Manager / Manager – Project Finance will undertake all the necessary activities for
meeting the funding requirement for projects being undertaken by SUL, including projects
already won as well as those under bidding/development. Working with the senior
management of SUL, you will liaise with banks, financial institutions, PE funds, rating
agencies and other stakeholders in the financial community to ensure timely availability of
financing for projects at the most competitive terms.

Specifically, you will:

ƒ Prepare comprehensive financial models for various projects to deliver cash flow
forecast, scenario analysis, risk assessment and return analysis
ƒ Work closely with the project development team to identify, analyse and execute the
most optimum financing solution for SUL projects (including debt and equity)
ƒ Coordinate with finance providers on due diligence, term sheet negotiations and
documentation
ƒ Work with project teams to ensure timely compliance with all conditions precedent and
other obligations
ƒ Coordinate the drawdown/repayment formalities for debt facilities and to monitor
compliance with financing conditions and obligations
ƒ Support senior management of SUL on various financing related matters on an on-

What are we looking for in Project Finance Managers?

ƒ Between three and five years’ professional experience in infrastructure project finance,
gained primarily within a project finance bank or a corporate house focussed on project
development/financing. Prior experience in financing of utility projects (water supply,
waste management, etc.) shall be an advantage.
ƒ Particularly strong financial modelling skills, capable of building from scratch
sophisticated “project finance” financial models; prior experience in use of VB and
Macro tools with MS-Excel is a must.
ƒ Knowledge of project finance documentation and experience of handing financial
closing work (either as project developer or as lender) is essential.
ƒ Passion for working in the infrastructure sector and focus on long-term shareholder
value creation
ƒ Proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools such as Word and PowerPoint
ƒ Self-starter with strong self-motivation and a proven capacity to work in a newly
established team
ƒ Result-oriented approach with hands-on execution capability
ƒ Masters in Finance, preferably with mechanical/chemical/civil engineering background
