ABSTRACT
The project “Automatic Water Treatment of Two Remote Plant Using
SIEMENS and ALLEN BRADLY PLCs and Control Through iFIX SCADA” aims to
collaborate two PLC in single SCADA they maintain temperature and level of the
process at a particular set-point. It is implemented in a pilot plant that is modeled after
a real industrial boiler plant.
To maintain the temperature in the open tank by changing the cold water flow rate
into the heat exchanger, keeping the hot water flow rate constant. Simultaneously
maintain the level in the open tank by controlling the outlet drain rate using VFD. This
task is accomplished on batch process using cascading control strategy. overall
project and implementation is carried out in the pilot plant of NIELIT Calicut using
SIEMENS, ALLEN BRADLY PLCs AND IFIX SCADA.
