HISTORY & SERVICES
In early 1992, Architectural Acoustics “AA” at Hong Kong was established. Beijing office, Shanghai office, Guangzhou office and
Jiangmen production plant have been set up shortly afterwards as the successful management centre of mainland China projects. In
cope with the market development, it has successfully developed a strong team comprises of experienced sales representatives and
knowledgeable engineers. In Hong Kong, Architectural Acoustics (Holdings) Limited serves as an influential sales base to local and Far
East markets.

The set up of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou offices are to cope with China projects in these three areas, where lots of resources have
been made to serve various projects. Engineers and sales representatives are well trained to tackle mechanical and technical issues of
acoustic products. Products designs, installations are demonstrated and instructed carefully to ensure the best performance of products.
Jiangmen plant is mainly for product development and production. It consists of staff with solid knowledge of quality control.

“AA” is all set to discover new channels of putting noise & control products into mega mainland projects, by designing custom made
design, as well as excellent mechanical engineering support to clients. “AA” cares not only on marketing products, but most importantly,
on exploring the most effective way of acoustics products by various means of researches and experiments.

Leading by market recruitment, we set up a research centre complying with the latest ISO-140 standard at Jiangmen in 2008, which

centralizes and conducts all sorts of experiment on acoustic products. The centre includes a 210m reverberant chamber and a 150m
acoustic chamber, to carry out the acoustic experiment on the diffusion, absorption and the sound insulation.

In enabling the development of this research centre, the most professional specialists and related facilities are recruited . Leading by top
specialists to work on noise & control stream of acoustics, not only “AA” is definite to design and supply acoustic products ahead of the
same profession, but also to strengthen “AA” engineers to skillfully cater to all requirements from valuable clients. And thus, acoustics
products supplied by “AA” speak for itself that eliminating noise and controlling vibration are all under control as wish.

Asides from the acoustic expertise, “AA” has been able to diversify our services with the development of other areas, such as structural
engineering and specialist contractor. Our design team is formed by various specialist qualifications. “AA” is capable of providing the

Application of Sound Intensity on Laboratory
Buildings are constructed using many elements and the sound insulation may be compromised by defects in materials
or workmanship. Quite often, the traditional measurement will show that the sound insulation is not as good as
expected or required by mass law. If this is the case, a measurement using sound intensity can diagnose the fault by
showing the contribution of each surface element to the Sound Transmission Loss. If you suspect a certain weak
area, the contribution for that area can be measured and checked separately.

Stephen LEUNG As a specialist working in realm of acoustics, Mr. Stephen Leung has developed full sets of
Managing Director documentation and mechanical support in architectural acoustics. Much of his effort lies in being
AP(HK) MIOA MASA MHKIOA a consultant, designer, supplier and manufacturer of acoustics products, all to provide
professional services of eliminating noise and diminishing vibration.

In terms of educational background, Mr. Leung devoted most of his concentration to acoustical
field from the outset. He was graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Mechanical
Engineering and Noise & Vibration Control and from Technical College with diploma in
Manufacturing and Production. These educational backgrounds facilitate him to be a competent
acoustics expert in practical workplace. He has involved in many major projects in Hong Kong,
Macau and China. With the establishment of Architectural Acoustics in Guangzhou early 2006,
much of his effort has been devoted successfully in China projects.Recently, a laboratory has
been started off at Jiangmen by Mr. Leung, so as to facilitate the acoustics design and products
development.

Being elected as a member of Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics, a member of Acoustics Society of
America (USA) and Institute of Acoustics (UK), he commits himself fully to the ever changing
world of acoustics and keeps a close track of the most updated benchmark of acoustics
requirement. He has been working on various acoustics projects, culminating with the
supervision of the erection of a complex anechoic testing chamber, speech / lecture theatre,
recording studio, conference centre, lift machine room of hotels etc., which are all about building
up a solid base of design, supply of the very best of acoustics. He engrosses himself faithfully in
making architectures and mechanics to function the best using acoustical designs and anechoic
products. Mr. Leung is, to a greater extent exploring effective ways on environmental protection
against noise and vibration.

William FUNG Dedicated to design and market of acoustics products, Mr. William Fung has played a key role in
Products Manager exploring new direction of marketing products with his explicit knowledge in acoustics. Various
M(Proj. Mgt.) MIOA MASA MHKIOA projects are managed by him with essential organization and precise guideline of product design,
supply and installation, he all accomplishes smoothly and fulfils the requirements.

Mr. William Fung was graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a Master Degree in
Project Management and from Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics with a Professional Diploma in
Acoustics and Noise Control, that enables him to have complete understanding of theoretical
standpoint in noise & control, so does the actual application of acoustics products. From 1996,
he has served as Engineer and worked on various acoustics projects involving both mechanical
and architectural acoustics. He had culminating with the supervision and design of recording
studios, news information centres, conference centres, lecture theatres, multi purpose hall,
chiller plant rooms, life vibration treatments and acoustic treatment for water treatment works.
Besides that, he has also serviced as an acoustic consultant for Convention & Exhibition centres,
Foyers, Stadiums and Multi-Purpose Halls. He is active in engaging a new direction of marketing
noise & control products, and always determines to take up responsibility in organising projects
well and make the most of available resources. On top of that, He specialises the right route to
penetrate noise & control products to all divisions, while not oblivious of the importance of
quality services. With his effort and guidance, acoustics products have come to be products of
necessity in the range of tranquil place to live and work in. There are definitely positive things to
expect for Mr. Fung has continuously marketing noise & control products.
