ABNORMAL MOVING VEHICLE DETECTION

FOR DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

ABSTRACT:
It is known that the population is increasing at very peak ranges all over the world. But also the deaths are
exponentially increasing. Among them most of the deaths occurs due to accidents and diseases. Since we
are on the era of advanced technology, we can utilize these technological growths to enhance the safety
and security towards death causing crisis like accidents and spreading of disease. These technologies also
provide some aids to prevent us from experiencing major problems caused by accidents and diseases. So
here we utilize the technological advancement to enable the immune system for us to survive any such
scenarios. So we propose a method which utilizes the technology to avoid accidents caused by driver due
to excess of sleep.

EXISTING SYSTEM:
In the existing system rash driving has been increasing rapidly. Each and every day accidents are
occurring. Most of the accidents are occurring due to the negligence of the driver. By driving over speed
or by sleeping during driving these accidents occur. So to reduce these accidents and protect their life an
effective system need to be developed.

DEMERITS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM:


 Driver distraction has been identified as one major cause of unsafe driving.
 In Existing system more number of accidents occurs.
 Control of the speeds is only done by the driver.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
In this system the camera is used to monitor the driver’s condition whether he is sleeping or not. The
images are constantly captured and provided to the MATLAB section. The MATLAB section here is used
to compare the real time images to the predefined stored images. Based on the comparison, the output is
provided to the controller. Based on the output from the MATLAB the buzzer is activated and also the
vehicle locking mechanism is performed when the driver is found sleeping.

MERITS OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM:


 Accidents can be reduced.
 High security can be maintained in the travel.
